Rio Ngumoha is handed his senior debut for Liverpool in today’s lunchtime Emirates FA Cup third-round tie with Accrington Stanley.

The 16-year-old comes into the Reds starting line-up at Anfield as Arne Slot makes multiple changes.

Dominik Szoboszlai returns after recovering from illness, while Jarell Quansah is fit enough to begin the encounter.

Does anyone know about the last minute change to the lineup/subs going around?

Great to see young rio starting,  very early in his career but a real talent, will learn not to try to take everyone on and look up. Decent team.

Dom starting is a bit of a surprise. He needed minutes but thought that would be from the bench. Assume we will take him off early as we need him to have a full tank for Tuesday. Fingers crossed he comes through ok.

Trent starting is interesting. Wonder if that's just not wanting to start Bradley two games in a row, or, one eye on Bradley starting on Tuesday.

No start for Chiesa, that looks ominous.

And no Jones is a surprise. He has been poor for the last 2 games and as long as Dom comes through ok he has no chance for Tuesday, so this would have been a good run out for him to get form.

Must be Chiesa still isn't 100% match fit. But it's a big call starting with Rio. Plucked from Chelsea, could be another Raheem Sterling type. Quick, got a trick or three. Predominately right footed and plays off the left.

So front 3 will probably line up - Rio...Jota...Nunez.

For £12m it makes sense, he’s a back up player that’s all, and unfortunately hasn’t gotten to grips yet fitness wise, maybe if he isn’t moved on a full pre season will do him good, he arrived here injured and has obviously struggled making the standard required, he’s quality no doubt about that, just hope he can shake off those injury woes ??
