Went for Endo as MOTM, playing out of position at centre back ,giving that he isn't a big lad looked totally at ease and dependable, youngsters did very well and made their mark showing what they can do ,Chiesa working hard and deserved the goal .Good performance from Accrington and full credit to them .

Don't get the slating of Nunez. Missed ONE decent chance. Other than that he was living on scraps and generally played well across the pitch. Just didn't get the luck today.

He worked hard but should have scored. He had more than one chance, should have done better with Chiesas through ball for a start.

Meanwhile Danns gets a ball rebound direct to him for a simple goal, and Jota gets the ball put on a plate for a tap in.

      Nunez had a decent game

Just on way home.job done 4th gear minutes in legs of those that needed . Young Rio full of tricks first half.Chiesa probably not going to cope much from start but can see the quality and could.be useful weapon from bench . McConell did well.Hoping for another nice draw  to help with Spurs game

But those others were half chances with poor crosses and passes. The only clear chance was 12 mins and he should have kept that down.

Agree that not scoring is a missed opportunity though and looks bad given the goal scorers around him.

      I went with 4-0, I guess you 5-0..?

Towards the end I hope AS scored a goal fir their fans & spirits, I’m sure the whole
Of Anfield would have appreciated it too..

Yeah mate. Originally had 5-1 and changed it to 5-0. Still on the hunt for a 7 pointer.

If Cheisa works out for us, he will be a a guy ypu bring on with 20 minutes to go when you struggle to break down opposition. His pace and creativity will be lethal when hes running at tired defenders. He doesn't need much space at all.

Could have a greater impact than a effective Shaquri a few years back. We need him to work out IMO. This generations Fairclough

Nunez misses plenty of tap ins. Not good enough and never will be.

Job done against the poorest team we will play all season and it was dire at times so nothing to get carried away over. Hopefully no injuries for tuesday which was the main thing from today. The big positive was the young lads coming in and doing well infront of a big crowd at Anfield.

Thought Endo did a professional job again, could be really important to the squad if Arne lets him be.

Danns looked good to me last season in his appearances ... knows where the goal is too. Id be happy for him to be involved over Nunez.

Chiesa did well 👏 when he came on. But as I said before, poorest opposition we will play all season. Still alot to prove, but happy personally for him. Hopefully that gives him a boost but not expecting to see that much of him still ... but thats upto Arne.

Bradley is a serious player ...

Onto forest ... huge improvement needed if we are to get something. Id love to beat them, not just because of what happened at Anfield, but i get the impression they fancy it against us ... love us to go there, play as we know we can and take 3 points.

Because fans still get caught in the limbo of only judging forwards by goals.....then yes in that instance, Jota and Danns played exceptional and Nunez was sh*t.

Plus Nunez is an easy target, so the moment he missed the half volley.....there was nothing he could've done right, even had he scored  hattrick....the narrative would've been "Ah well, it's only Accrington". All of this is the cause of the sticky predicament he finds himself this season and the truth is under Arne, he isn't going to suddenly take off. Plus what we paid for him certainly doesn't help  ;D

Job done. 4-0 result was pleasing with a much rotated side. Main thing was getting through with no injuries, had a few little scares but thankfully nothing serious although Harvey's ankle may need assessing.

On the whole Arne played this one well with his selection and subs.

I wouldn't say anyone stood out, but no one stuck out either. 6s and 7s all round. Chiesa 2nd half performance was probably the pick out the bench, wonder why he couldn't have started and played an hour or so, unless Arne prioritsed minutes for Harvey. Even a half fit Fede gives us so much more on the wing than someone like Harvey, who again showed why he isn't a winger.

We used him in the 10 in preseason and he did well by all accounts. Arne needs to use him more and Endo. Players who feel like a valued part of the squad ... are more likeky to do more I think than a player who feels like hes only going to play if we are desperate. Hope he is able to be in the squad for forest.

Well played to Accrington, made a game of it and we had to work a bit. Probably a bit lucky to keep a clean sheet but glad we did.

Interesting to see some of our fringe players. Chiesa was lively when he came on and you can see his quality. Looks to be carrying a bit of weight - maybe enjoying tucking into a few bowls of scouse after being stuck with Italian food his whole life.

Danns looks a natural goal scorer, just the way he moves and his confidence with his strikes. Hopefully gets a few more games.

Bit surprised Jota was given a full 90, would have been saving him more for Forest. Other than that, liked Arne's team selection and subs.

      Gave Endo MOTM.

Nobody can force Arne to do anything, if he's decided already Endo and Harvey will only get the cups....then that's what will happen. It's all well and good us saying he needs to do this less or this more, we have to accept he doesn't rate them highly enough to give them more time. The onus has to be on the people above him to sort out exits whilst also bringing in new players that fit his style.

That was a terrible pass, not much he could do beyond what he did.

This fixture with the enormous gap in quality/rank was never likely to be a sporting contest as such, and that's how it predictably played out. At no point was the result in doubt. Players gave a decent account of themselves, no one especially great, and no one especially poor...just a solid professional job. Happy for Chiesa to get his goal.

Credit to Accrington S. they put up a spirited performance and were in truth unlucky not to score.

Yeah i agree. He is the coach after all ... if these lads are not his cuppa its upto fsg's football committee to move them on and provide players that do have the tools he wants.

Jota playing the full 90, I think we know our XI for Tuesday.

Alisson, Trent, Konate, Virgil, Robbo, Grav, Mac, Dom, Mo, Diaz, Gakpo

I believe that's the team, and also the XI I'd go for. Diaz against Man U was a bad match up with them playing 3 CB (he would drag out one (Maguire) but that would still leave two). And he had no runners from midfield with no Dom.

Was never going to be a high intensity game and Nunez did OK. One assist and had a few half chances. No need to get on his back today,
