Pre Match- Everton vs Liverpool 12th Feb -7:30
      Feb 09, 2025 09:34:39 pm
Well it’s time for the big one

It’s the last Derby at Goodison , it’s a old fashioned stadium that’s got a lot of history and it’s going to be sad to not play a Derby there again

When the match starts sentiment goes out the window and it’s time to smash them

It’s going to be the strongest we can play

      Alisson

      Bradley
      Konate
      VVD
      Robbo

      Grav
      McAllister
      Dom

      Mo
      Nunez
      Gakpo

This is it, no more counting the game in hand from this point on

This will be last season x 10 atmosphere wise. We must start well and not give them early chances to fire the crowd up even more. Ideally we strike early and kill the atmosphere

They are sh*te, nobody can tell me different, but theyll fire into tackles like its 1987 here we have to be prepared for it take it and give it back twice as fooking hard......do not get bullied

Macca to do a job on the good player can think of his name, only good player they have, everything good they do comes through him.

Start Darwin to get about them and wind them up and Diogo on with 20 to go

Draw not a disaster considering the occasion but in truth were so much better then them we should be taking all 3

Never really worried about this one as the pressure is going to be on them 100% IMO but I just hope our boys are up for it and understand what this 3 points means because we need it.

The team picks itself. Nunez coming on late confirmed it if there was any doubt.

      3 points please lads.

Same team that played against Spurs, only Mac coming in for Jones. Injuries permitting, it can’t really be anything else.

100% expecting a bounce back. Anything other than 3 points would concern me greatly.

Slot's first derby. I've got a lot of faith he knows all about it.

Im not sure about bounce back. This will be an entirely different starting 11. This 11 won't feel they have anything to bounce back from as they weren't involved yesterday. They'll just pick up the reigns from the Spurs game and gallop on. We are so much better than these, anything but a win will be a disaster, derby or not.

Slot’s first, Goodison’s last. Plenty of storylines in this one but we need to turn up and just play our game.

Start is the key. Probably been our weakest area in the last couple of seasons. Start well and try and quieten the crowd down will make it a much easier task.

Moyes will have this lot right up for it. Him back there, last derby at Goodison, midweek winter game etc etc.

A lot to keep us on our toes and if we're not up for this one we could find ourselves in bother

We need the big guns firing all cylinders.

The team picks itself except the striker. I would go with Nunez for his link up with Salah. I would not play Jones from the start.

      Just win the derby.

If play Nunez as well but can't agree with Jones. Szoboszlai has to start for me.

      That's what they are saying.

Don't expect any surprises in the starting XI.

Nunez, Dom and Bradley, that running power around him aids Mo.

A win and three points is all that matters, in this final derby game at Goodison park. In our relentless charge towards the title.

Just get the 3 points Redmen, doesn't matter how. A draw wouldn't be a disaster, but 3 points would be great.

      1-2 to the Redmen.

With Gollum back at the helm, they're going to be like rabid dogs or possibly Orcs rampaging around Mordor so we very much need to be at it but without devolving to their level as our quality ought to ensure a level of superiority that they won't be able to cope with.

To me this is just another football match. Don't care it's Goodison, care even less where they're based geographyically speaking. It's Everton. It's Moyes. They're not very good. We're better in every department so the message to the players should be........go and show it and if we do that, don't see why we can't pick up a routine win against sh*t opposition. I stuck on their game in the cup playing pretty much their best XI, they were completely clueless. Outfought and outplayed first half, had a bit of a go 2nd half after Bournemouth lowered their intensity and still couldn't lay a glove on them.

It'll be rememebered if it's worth remembering.....basicall y like any other game.

No idea what the results were against them in either of the games when we won the PL/CL....because it's not important. You only remember certain details like Pickford ending Van Dijk's season, or Origi bundling it in on the line in the last min.

Historically Everton haven't done well against us, Moyes even less so.....that you remember because for some reason it's a prerequisite for pundits and the media to bring it up every so often.

It’s the last Derby at Goodison ,

If you can’t see why then I don’t think you understand the connection that both clubs have in the city

      Every Derby is important
