Anfield hosting PSG under the lights

Alisson, Van Dijk, Konate, Diaz, Szoboszlai, Mac Allister, Salah, Jota, Robertson, Gravenberch, Alexander-Arnold.

Subs: Jaros, Kelleher, Endo, Nunez, Chiesa, Jones, Gakpo, Elliott, Tsimikas, McConnell, Quansah.

Liverpool make three changes to their starting line-up for tonight’s Champions League last-16, second-leg clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

The Reds restore Diogo Jota, Alexis Mac Allister and Andy Robertson to the team for the Anfield encounter, replacing Curtis Jones, Darwin Nunez and Kostas Tsimikas from the weekend win over Southampton.

Cody Gakpo returns to the matchday squad following injury and is on the bench.

Agree with both. Thought would go for a bulldog type of a player, chasing lost causes.

Can't say I'm overly thrilled with no changes from the first leg, here's hoping Arne's sent them out to put that shocker right and they deliver.

Thought he would go with Darwin, Jota has been out of form lately or maybe a 4-4-2 with Jones.

      Well let's go.

Jota just needs that one chance, that one header, tight angle shot!

We need to get the ball up the pitch to him, if we do, he’ll score.

      Come on!!!

Can't believe Darwin isn't starting. Hope Jota wakes the F**k up and plays. Not just scoring...he wasn't even challenging their players in that first leg. I assume he'll be on a short leash.

We probably won't have the ball much again seeing as they're chasing, so before anything he's going to have to help out off the ball and put himself about, it'd be a bonus if he could get us up the pitch and maybe win a few fouls to take the pressure off.

      "Definition of madness..."

To go with the same XI that got rinsed, that is some decision.

The Jota selection is the obvious contentious one as their defence had it easy when he was on the field, whereas with Nunez Marquinhos wanted no part of him. We are banking in having far more possession and creating chances higher up for Jota to finish, but if they starve us of ball we need an outlet over the top, which is Nunez. He is made for a counter attacking side which most of us felt would be most effective in this game.

I genuinely think if we can up the chances compared to last time we’ll score a couple.

But we’re going to have to suffer a lot too. The good news is we have the best goalkeeper and defender in the whole world and these guys know how to win champions league games under the lights.

The midfield needs to perform tonight and the full backs need to be on it defensively. Last week the midfield was too easily played round or played through. The full backs were just ran past.

Thinking back to that semi v barca in 19 and milner hendo and gini worked so hard to stop their creativity, closed all the space between the lines especially 2nd half and nullified messi for the most part and dembele. The midfield tonight needs to be tight and compact. Come out on top in midfield and I think we go through. Another game like last week I think we go out.

Need to be disciplined, good in posession, fully focussed for the 90, no lapses and take the chances when they come. I guess that means we need to be pretty much perfect tonight

Must be planning the high press as Jota ain’t got the pace for a long ball counter.
