Next Captain?

Bit of a hypothetical but If Mo, Virg and Trent go at the end of the season who's folks pick for the captaincy in 25/26 and beyond?

Nominations would be Robertson, Szob, and Alli I'd guess. With only the captain being able to speak to the ref I personally wouldn't choose a GK myself.

Think it would be Robbo but it would be short term that. Szob would be the longer term choice.

Leadership group would all of a sudden be looking light really.

If Virg goes it should be Trent. Thats his next step and the next step to creating a real legacy here. Thats his/was his dream apparently.

If trent walks out and the other 2 are pushed out ... Robbo or Ali for me. But thats 3 huge players leaving the club ... for nothing.

I believe we already have a captaincy hierarchy of 5 or so players, so it would likely just go to the next in line. Maybe that was under Jürgen, though.

Guess because Dom is captain of his country - so maybe he is Captain material

The prob with Robbo is I don’t think he will be starting every week

I'd like to see him get the vice captaincy next season regardless (provided Virg stays).

Perish the thought all three leave but if they do, I'd give it Ali on merit/experience. Robbo could deputise. Longer term, one of the middies as they are sure to be our battle hardened warriors for years to come -- Dom or Macca probably.

Macca for me should be in the picture at least Vice Captain.  If Virg and Taa left.

I don't think keepers make good captains on the field due to their position. Robbo is on the wane. I think szob or Mac. I prefer someone who's very vocal on the pitch. Probably Szob.

 silly Q cos Virgil will STILL be Skip he’s going no f***in where, Trent is gambling with his potential legacy if he goes to Royal Madrid, but could Still stay, it’s down to his personal choice, stay and realise his dream or leave and tickle Bellingham’s bollocks, Mo I believe Will sign a two year extension with a possible further 1 year without a numerical gain, pie in the f***in sky cos F**k knows what will happen, we live in hope!!
