I feel terrible.

Had a pretty heavy cold for a week now, then yesterday, severe earache which lasted all night.

Managed to doze off after taking some painkillers, then woke up to find pus and blood dribbling out of my ear.

Might be time to visit the doc...

Don't let ear infections go to far, I was once idiotic enough to ignore one for a few weeks, ended up being rushed to hospital with stroke like symptoms, after the infection spread.  Scary 24 hours that was.  

I once tried to fight an infection like that. Painkillers and rest. . . Thing is I was on holidays with the family when I realised I had failed. Went to the ship doctor, got my ear syringed and two lots of tablets. Was put in quarintine watch for two days until they felt I was no longer a risk to the rest of the passengers. Always get checked early now

Ear infection burst my eardrum - got antibiotics.

So much going round lately. The 2 people I live with have both had bad coughs / colds for the last week and I've been shovelling citrus fruits down my neck in an effort to defend myself. I've started to get a tickling feeling in my throat now... great.
