Yes, made by Harvey Elliott who is looking on fire tonight. The whole group is to be honest. Curtis Jones just missed what would have been a great goal also.

It's men against boys but the boys are winning, easily.  There's such a difference in class from those that are full time at Melwood.

Jones hits crossbar after a good pass from Jake Cain.

      3 could be 6.

Class goal for 3-0. Chirivella pass from midfield to Curtis Jones about 25 out, lovely pass to put Hardy through and he finishes across his body (right-footed) into the far corner. Score reflecting the control a bit more now. Our team has not let up at all, and their patterns of play are JUST like the first team.

He scored 40 goals in 80 games for Brentford's B side, not sure how much time on the calendar we are talking about.

Some players just have a knack for putting the ball in net. Maybe he's one of those.

I had the sound off. Was that Jürgen they showed walking down the stairs at Kirkby just now? Far away and in the dark so I could tell for sure.

Laurel is more Route One then - always thought it was the other way around!  :D

IN a match update, Southampton have voted 6-5 to return to the pitch for the 2nd Half.

Tempo has slowed a bit in this half although we've still had most of the ball and created a couple of chances (Jones, Larouci).

Liam Miller on at 63 minutes for Hardy.  Millar started a number of games for Kilmarnock first team but has been recalled.

We're being very patient though mate, no blasting from anywhere like some lower league teams.

But it doesn't work as we score twice in closing minutes. Jones with a curler on a pullback from Jake Cain. Then Jones with a long free kick to release Williams down right, beautiful rolled cross that Millar taps in for 5-0.

Honestly Curtis Jones could have scored 6 goals in this game.

Debs mentioned the players who are at Melwood daily being a cut above. It's so true. Jürgen made a comment after the Everton match that the weekly training match they play, young vs older, on a 40-yard pitch, is as beneficial for these young players (or more so) than some loan opportunities that come along. Obviously there are times when a move is preferred, like with Rhian Brewster, but I think players like Jones, Elliott, Larouci and Williams would rather stay than go, at least for this season. James Pearce is adamant that they will all play again in the next Cup match. I hope so. They may go on loan next season but I'm enjoying watching them play for us at the moment.

Jones is head and shoulders above that level now. Would love us to wrap the Premier League title up very early and give decent minutes in the league to him and two or three others.

Guessing this will not include many, if any, of the players who featured on Monday. Might be more like the League Cup lineup vs. Villa minus Harvey. I think at least a few of Monday's team, Williams, Larouci, Jones, Elliott, Chirivella will next play or be on the bench for the Shrewsbury match a week Sunday.
