Bit of a chinwag going on in the Mane thread might be worth talking about.

Overall do you think the academy is producing enough talent?

If the answer is no, is that down to coaching, player ability or simply that at a club were the pressure is so big to succeed that young plsyers will rarely come through because the club buys in internationals who block the youth progression,?

We are not bsd in my view in the bigger view if it. My concern is though, well 2 concerns

. Are we producing/coaching these lads to be like for like  to the the first team, as in is Glatzel a copy of Bobby, Mo, Sadio, and if not how can he make it if he does not fit our system?

.Up to a couple of years ago we never produced any keepers, now we seem to have a load in the ranks. Years ago we seemed to produce strikers or midfielders of good qualiry but now that seems to have dried up. We dont seem to be producing at least 1 player for each area of the desired quality.

Big clubs pimp the work of smaller clubs when it comes to bringing youth prospects  into the big time. Wasn't always like this but it is now.

The academy is littered with quality players but it’s a long way from talented youngster to first team

Vite Jaros makes his debut for ST Patricks athletic tonight v league champions Shamrock Rovers. Quiet enough first 35 minutes for him.

Good to get gametime even at this level

Thanks Brian, I love it when some fans keep an eye on every angle of the club. Wish I had the time myself to cover every aspect of the club so thanks for that update. Maybe one for the future then.
