1 nil to the under 18's in their last league of the season v derby. Cracking goal by kade gordon

He signed from derby recently didn’t he? Looks a decent talent from what I’ve seen, trained with the first team a few times since he’s been here

His brother plays league football too I was reading

Yeah, sadly can't play in the youth cup but he looks a good prospect. 2 nil up now

Finished 3 nil. Frauendorf got the other 2. Mostly 16 year olds. 11 changes from the youth cup

Gordon may be our best prospect now. Expect he will be involved with the first team in preseason.

I was looking into him a bit more last night, he’s another a bit like Harvey Elliott. Had made an appearance for Derby in the championship at 16 against Birmingham, they apparently thought really highly of him and we came in to take him and develop him here.
Only 16 years old though  :o so has some development to do, think we will see him in and around the age groups next year, train more with the senior team and then send him on loan at 17/18 like we have with Harvey this year at Blackburn

His brother plays in the league system at Mansfield (who we played in the FA cup a few years ago when Brendan was here) as a right back and he came through the Derby system as well apparently

Really poor first half. Ipswich score just on half time. Bad mistake by Harvey Davies

Presumably Jarell, made some nice runs out from the back and was really mobile all across the back line

Billy Koumetio has been hopeless this season, plays like he's on moggies, seems to make a catastrophic decision that gives a goal away every game, must be really disheartening for the other lads to see Billy go train with the firsts just cos he's Vitor Matos' little favourite-wavourite. It stinks. Vitor Matos needs binning for me. Fast-tracking the wrong players and then failing to have the guts to reverse bad decisions. Koumetio's a waste of time. So is Clarkson. So is Cain. Both of them look like they should be on their paper rounds.

Morton's the midfielder to be looking to progress to first team training. Class player.

Woltman's finishing was off but he doesn't half work his arse off to bring other players in, low centre of gravity, good movement, reminds me a bit of a young mullet-less Dirk Kuyt from Wallasey. Same dodgy finishing  :lmao:

I only saw 2nd half on a tiny screen and he was on the far side of the pitch but James Norris looked really lively all up and down the left flank, very involved, pretty Robbo-like performance.

Just when you think there are no big games left...

      another one comes along!

Looking forward to trying to catch a stream for this tonight.

Plenty of young lads to cast an eye over. Looking forward to seeing Tyler Morton strut his stuff in midfield. Classy performer.

Will Balagizi put in the sort of stunning performance we ought to expect from a player with a Z in his name?

Will Dominic Corners take the corners?

Will the Wallasey Dirk Kuyt - Max Woltman - grow a mullet for this game, or at least get some curly extensions fitted now the barbers are open?

Will Ziggy Boniek be there to cheer on Messi-alowski?

I'm expecting Bradley and Norris to put in huge shifts from full back.

Louie Barry for Villa will be a handful so Jarell Q and Billy Calamity will have their work cut out at the back. Big game for Jarell this and I reckon he's up to the job but Barry has a massive rep at this level, enough for him to become the first English player to ever join Barcelona's academy. I don't reckon he'll be doing Jarell for pace though. Should be a great battle and I expect Klopp will be watching.
