      Barsteward.

Felt something go in / around my left hammy tonight after about 3km. Big setback.

Got it iced and will see how it is in the morning.

Man I get so unbearable when I’m inactive so family all on alert!

Unless it's swollen I'd be getting some heat onto it mate not ice.

Ran 9.25 miles this morning in 1:45:52. Think I am ready to run the half marathon in 3 weeks.

Something wrong in my glutes, top of my left leg. Short runs are fine, but the third run in the couch to 5k is a 20 minute one I've just not been able to finish it. Stretches today, will do some more this evening. With my weight, I was really worried about my knees and ankles, they've been fine, this just feels like I've pulled something, not even sure when.

Had a game earlier and think I’ve overstretched and maybe hyperextended my knee. Hurt at first then ran through it but now I’m starting to feel it quite a bit. Unfortunate as I was planning a run tomorrow morning, oh well.

Certainly didn’t come off worst mind you, one of our lads landed horribly and broke his collarbone. Had to get carted away in an ambulance and didn’t know where he was.

That’s a good pace man. Will make for a nice half marathon time. Have fun!

Nice to get back into a routine before a week of “re-tox”

Running at least 5k three times a week. Working out 5 days a week. Now a clear 225lbs (102kg) lighter than my heaviest. Another 70lb, give or take, to go. Aiming for 200lb as my target weight.

Been working on strength building the last couple of weeks, really struggle with pushups.

Noticed a huge improvement in my resting heart rate as well, from 85-95 per minute to between 62-68 per minute.

Well chuffed although feeling it this morning, probably won’t be much running now till the New Year.

That is absolutely sensational. Well in Rodders. How are you feeling mentally as well as physically in comparison?

Well done mate - bet it feels good though.

If you’re anything like me you’ll just keep whittling away 10-15 secs off that now you’ve broken the barrier.

Deffo feels good mate i suppose it’s one way of keeping motivated.

Don’t know about you mate no matter how good your running music is it can get a bit monotonous without something to aim for.

So it’s a sub 1.50 half marathon in the summer for me.

Agreed - I’m into podcasts now and rarely listen to music. The Anfield Wrap and the Echo’s “Blood Red” are good plus I listen to boxing ones and a bundle of True Crime ones. Bit more engaging and passes time better.

Having said that though I’ve only been running indoors in 2018 and doing a lot of interval training and weights for a change.

Might get back to outdoors in new year.

I was feeling great, it's kind of come to a halt the last fortnight, but it is all work induced, I work in the parcel business and....this time of year.

I knew this was coming but you can never fully prep for the hours you end up putting in, to get the job done.
