Finally got back in the pool yesterday, last time was beginning of March 2020, felt good!
Booked every weekday this week and next, and will hopefully start doing the same every week.

Managed 45 mins at moderate pace, and it really showed how doing nothing fitness wise apart from walking during Covid has impacted, I was out of breath by the fifth length ;D.

Well done lad. Aiming for that myself this month. Last few years I have had a detox/fitness kick in February. Can't do it January as I find that month depressing enough!

Oh it definitely works. I was a complete non runner when I did it about 10 years ago. But more than that I can do no proper running for about a year now and when I start back up I can push a 5k after a handful of runs.  After you've done it once in your life you'll never have to start from the beginning again.  It's a good programme to follow.

fair play lad! have you done the old parkraces? (parkruns in the UK)

Back on the road running, did a 7.5 mile run on Monday so will be a shorter 4-5 miler today.

BTW Don’t believe people who say you can’t lose weight just by training, my belt needs another notch 😂

Winter fat slowly coming off now golf season has started back, and changed job which means im not working from home so much, so much more active.

Actually lost a stone last year, just eating better and being a wee bit more active.

Road running is hard… walking and running best way to shred the fat..

Did a PB yesterday on squats 140kg 10 reps & leg press 330kg…

Bulked up a bit over the last 3 months & now the shredding starts….

Need to get back to running/biking. Really slowed down over winter and only been to the gym 1x this year i think.

With spring approaching i hope to get back out there more often but kids after school schedule really screws up my plans more often than not.

Wife bought a Peloton bike but personally not a big fan of it so rarely use it. Always preferred treadmills over stationary bikes.

Went for a run this morning, haven't ran since the end of October. It felt good to be back doing one of my favorite things. It was on the slow side, but something better than nothing.

I'm in the same boat as you! Went for my first run since Christmas.

Was walking like an old man for the following two days though! Does wonders for clearing the fuzz in your mind though!

I trained and competed on my bike until I was 45 then did various things but got to 50 and thought Red win is nice especially with some nice cheese and then stopped killing myself. I would do up to 15 hours a week and race midweek and at weekends . I loved every minute of it but I was done but shouldn't have stopped completely but I cant exercise without having some for of competition attached to it .
Keep up the hard work stay fit and healthy
