Still doing my 16 miles a day on my spin bike.

Varying it depending on how the legs feel, some days 2 miles hard and 1 easy. Others 1 off 1 on. I also work along to GCN videos on youtube which has a great threshold video which is an hour long and managed to pump out over 18 miles on that.

Not been doing much at all in the way of cardio in the last couple of weeks but out a run this morning. Was a real effort getting outta bed and motivated but 5k in 22:25 which is not bad considering.

I'd take it.....my 3 miles this morning was one full pube under 24:00.

Not bad for a 200lb old man but I'd like to get that down in the 22's.

Class mate. Iā€™m at 189/190 just now but was running at 200 a couple of months back. That 10 pounds wasnā€™t necessarily fat loss just a bit less muscle mass now but makes the difference big time.

      Good efforts dudes.

      I havenā€™t weighed myself properly since 2001 - I was 17 stone at 5ft 10........

Funny isnā€™t it - when I was boxing I weighed myself morning and night......on and off for 15 yrs.

Iā€™d guess I was about 175-185 now but Iā€™m a 31-33 waist and 41inch chest and knowing that is enough for me.

Guess we all manage ourselves differently āœŠ

I guess context does help, 5ā€™ 11ā€ here. 34ā€ waist, my jacket size is a 42 so probably similar build to you Scotia. Iā€™m not really fat, but sure wouldnā€™t mind knocking that waist size down a couple inches and the chest back up an inch or two. I carry a lot of weight in my legs and my gut unfortunately. But I do like my food ;D

Feeling fantastic on the keto diet. First few days were hell, very hard not to go for quick and easy carbs.

Lost 7kg in 3 weeks! weight is falling off, just sticking to eating between 12:00 and 20:00 and replacing carbs with more veg, meat and dairy. Working out 2/3 times a week with kettlebells just in my flat. Easy peasy.

Class mate. Have done intermittent fasting before and felt good off it but never done keto. Donā€™t know if Iā€™m cut out for both of them but fair play to you.

Is it a struggle finding the right foods for keto?

Just throwing it out there, but your body needs carbs. Even simple carbs are fuel that your body needs for fitness. Just had a nutritionist talk to our cross country team about this very thing. Everything is ok in moderation, when you start removing an entire building block food from your diet, you are asking for short term and long term trouble.

Portion control is the best ā€œdietā€. Knowing when to push back from the table.

Itā€™s been easier than I thought, Iā€™m pretty good in the kitchen which helps. Cauliflower rice and courgette spaghetti are good immediate subs for carbs but a good thick cheese sauce is very filling with some meat and veg. Eggs are great to use too.

Beer is the big miss. Allowed 2 largers max then have to move to shorts.

Not been on the forum of late, health and other things have just taken priority.

Over 200lbs down from my heaviest.
Over 100lbs down from last year.
      -32.5lbs in ten weeks.
      -5.5lbs this week.

      Another 80-90lbs to go.

      Exercising 5 days a week.

Couch to 5k is going well. My phone is now registering what I'm doing as running, begin week 3 Monday.

Try and get on the forum a bit more, but my life is just so damn hectic of late.

So been doing mostly 5k runs before work but decided on a 10k this morning. Wasnā€™t feeling sharpest as I had done a 5k yesterday morning but gave it a go. Honestly felt so slow Iā€™m sure at times pensioners were overtaking me. Somehow though I recorded my fastest 10k in 48:24.

Bit of a setback of a weekend, eating poor and minimal movement. Decided to run it off this morning and managed 10.2k in 47:26. Pace of 4:39.
