      what planet are they living on !??

      Have read some treads on here that are quite frankly mindless at best !

      With regards to us needing a new striker that is obvious as to who we get is a different matter, we as per the Echo below look like it will probably be Dirk Kuyt who although not cheap and may be a risk Rafa is rearly wrong.

      From Echo today;
      *RAFA BENITEZ emphasised why Liverpool need more fire-power before the start of the season after seeing his side lose its second friendly in a week.

      The Anfield boss continues to trail Feyenoord's Dirk Kuyt, with a fresh approach for the Dutchman imminent.

      It's understood Kuyt has made it clear to his club he wants to move to Merseyside, despite interest from Manchester United.

      Liverpool have already had one offer for Kuyt turned down, and Benitez knows funds must be generated if he's to make a successful bid*

      Wat really make me laugh is when fans say lets buy Defoe who will cost in the region of £15m and recently someone suggested Torres what planet are these people on ? WE SIMPLY CAN NOT AFFORD TO SPEND THAT ON 1 PLAYER end of story it wont happen !

      This is because we are putting all our financial muscle into the new stadium, so in short you can forget all these massively costly players the most we will spend on 1 player will be no more than £10m and this may well involve players going as part of any deal to raise sufficient funds in any case. After this that really leaves only one decent available striker mr kuyt.

      In short lets get real and not kid ourselves for those who want a new striker you will have to find someone who costs £10m or below !
