      Worked for me.

Read it earlier in the day. I read what i was expecting to read, everyone lapping him up for being the dominant player on the pitch, the character and then man in the locker room. I think he may get close to Callaghan's record but just fall short.

Even so, he's going down as a true legend. 500 matches before you're 30? Fantastic record!

Cracking read though, nothing but respect for him! :)

No doubt mate, no doubt at all. He is a legend. We are lucky people to see the era of Gerrard and Carragher and for those who saw Rush, Dalglish and co. are even more lucky.

867 or what ever the record is, thats insane! His managerial career will no doubt see him over the 1000 mark. A common man turned Liverpool legend. A true player's player.

I feel very honored to have seen Dalglish and Rush at their best, and to have met them, two great wonderful strikers, Oh!! how we could do with a Rush or Dalglish now to partner Torres up front.

Even Rafa will be joining his players on the pitch in a guard of honour for Jamie tonight......should be good. :)

Let's make this a night to remember for Jamie Carragher, Rafa Benitez and  Liverpool FC :kop5cf8koxp6:

I cannot really add to what has already been said.

Just love the way he is one of us and wears his heart on his sleeve. A true legend.

If all of our millionaire showboys were to show half the passion , commitment and desire every single game as carra dose week in week out we would be top of the league.

He has been the most loyal and honest servant this club has had in many a year. I truly hope the kop realise this and belt out "team of carraghers" "bootle boy" etc  tonight for him. He has always given us 100% when he has pulled on that shirt. Be great if he could bang one in tonight as well!!

Congrats Jamie and heres to 500 more!!

No - he screams for it along the back gardens holding his left arm up for offside... just like his nephew would!

Some fantastic names there Kenny......in fact they are all time greats aren't they :)

I feel very privileged to have seen most of these players at their best, Callie's record will take some beating ;D

Hadn't realised Alan Hansen had played that many games for us, and I thought Kenny had played more, Jamie will be overtaking him soon. :)

I think Carra has got about another 200 games in him . Which would obviously take him into second place in the all time appearances for Liverpool.

I just cannot believe Ian Callaghan's record of 857 games .....truly astonishing achievement and loyalty.
