New Stadium - Cutting Corners

Looks like you could bounce on him.  if they make it from Lego, the kids could build it. yet another way to cut some costs.  my lad is 4 and a genius with the plastic blocks.

He could  help build the stadium, what with his Lego expertise.

Rumour has it we're not actually moving to a new stadium at all, but are just making the seats in Anfield a lot smaller so 71,000 can fit in there.

is it possible to make the seats smaller.  i was in the centenary for the west ham game and my mate is 6'4 and had his knees in front of his eyes. Rumour has it Jimmy Kranky designed the seats.

Yeah, we gotta to be elves to squeeze in 71000 in Anfield.

There is no way I'd be walking past goodison but that would probably be the new advised route. 

They didn't hire Multiplex did they? them bloody yanks will do anything to same a dime or two 

Multiplex warns of Wembley project own goal as losses mount

MULTIPLEX, the Australian construction group building the new Wembley football stadium in London, today warned that it faced possible heavy losses from the £500 million flagship project.
The firm had originally agreed to cover losses on the project up to around £21m, but said today that margins may have "deteriorated significantly" and that losses could jump.

John Roberts, who set up the company in 1962, has agreed to step down as executive chairman while another director has also left the board. Shares in the Sydney-listed group have been suspended while the company takes a further look at the position, which emerged following a internal review. It expects to provide further information on Monday.

One of the outcomes of the review could be a "loss position significantly greater" than the £21m covered by the Roberts Family indemnity, a statement said.

The stadium project is due to be completed in time for next season's FA Cup Final.

A spokesman for Multiplex said today: "We are still very confident that we will meet our contractual obligations."

RE: Stanley Park Stadium

We have a few updates for you regarding the progress of the new Stanley Park Stadium. There are several things that are being changed, some for the better, some for the worse:

- The space for the Car & Coach Park will be decreased significantly ... infact it will most likely be removed altogether, due to the drooling, childish Mancs & Toffs needing somewhere to "play".
- In addition, both goals will be removed and replaced by scrunched-up tops. Both sides must agree on a suitable goal-size before the match begins, however.
- The away fans will have no stairs/railings, and instead will be asked to climb to their allocated seats. Again, this is due to cutting costs.
