Solid race by Leclerc, worthy winner & a future word champion..

      Vettel is spent at Ferrari..

The post Hamilton future is very much set for Leclerc and Verstappen.

Shame to see what has become of Vettel. Went to Ferrari with big things but as you say looks a spent force now. I'd love to see, even for one race, that force of nature that he was (like when he won this very race in the wet in Toro Rosso in 2008) but I think Lewis finished him off in 2017 and 2018. Those 4 world titles at Red Bull seem a long long time ago now. The drop off is quite stark now and is reminiscent of Hakkinen in 2001 (even then he bagged himself a couple of race victories). He doesn't have the spark and he doesn't look like he's enjoying it. Will he even be in the sport next year?

      Yep, enjoyed that one.

Vettel's head is definitely gone at the moment.

Solid race yes but should of received a penalty for blocking Hammy. However, getting a penalty round Monza for Ferrari is as likely as a Scouse referee giving a penalty when United are playing Liverpool at Anfield.  :lmao:

      Vettel..
How the mighty have fallen.  :-\ How does a driver deteriorate so much in the space of 6 months or so. Could Hammy one day be in a red car??

I bet Vettel is raging they weren't handing out black and white flags in Canada.

Feel a bit for Vettel. Another driver battered mentally by Hamilton.

Max & LeClerc leading out the next generation and you can see Hamilton getting prickly over it.
Hamilton piled the pressure on and boy did Charles have to earn that victory.

      No.

Ferrari were hit with the maximum penalty possible at Monza, for Vettel's unique attempt at navigating the Ascari chicane. I haven't seen anyone spin off there since Lap 1 in 1995, after another spin there by Coulthard on the Formation Lap minutes earlier.

It was a busy weekend for the marshalls at Monza, and Vettel got on his soapbox about safety in F1. Reminds me of what Jackie Stewart once said, "the safe driver is never the quick one". Since the Halo gimmick was put on the cars, there has been an overturned car on Lap 1 in Abu Dhabi, a fatality at a support race in Spa, the first on a race weekend in 25 years, and another driver from the same race critically ill in hospital. The gimmick not only looks awful, but it's one more obstacle to a driver getting away safely from a serious incident.

It's a year since Leclerc was announced as Raikkonen's replacement, and Vettel wasn't happy with it. Leclerc won the Italian GP, while Vettel and Raikkonen got severe penalties from the stewards and finished well outside the points. If Leclerc and/or Verstappen were given proper equipment over a season, we would have a proper contest for the title.

Trump, Brexit, climate change, Amazonian forest fires - there are many terrible and unforgivable things happening in the world at the moment but the one that tops all of that is the continued renewal of Romain Grosjeans's F1 career.

In all seriousness its an absolute farce that that guy continues to forge a career in this sport. A miserable driver who endangers those around him without ever taking responsibility for his own actions. Measly points this season and an all round dimwit.

And when you see someone like Hulkenberg struggling to get a drive along with the likes of Ocon pushed out of the sport at the end of last season you know this is a sport that isn't looking after itself.

At it again this weekend when he left the nose in and put Russell in the wall.
Must have some cash behind him because there is no other reason he should be in F1 ahead of Hulkenberg.

Probably taking it up the rectum by team principle is Grosjean 😂, jokes aside I think I could handle that F1 car & score more points than him..

He must be ridiculously good at PR or sponsor meetings because he hasn't delivered the goods on track.

Lovely to have our annual reminder of just how abysmal a Grand Prix Sochi is.
