      50 for Jos Buttler.

275-6. Buttler and Rashid putting on a good knock here with sensible, but effective, cricket shots.

Edgbaston crowd to Ross Taylor on the boundary . Credit to Taylor too, he's taken it in good spirits.

Rashid lobs one up towards mid-off where McCullum is standing and the Kiwi skipper doesn't even get his hands to it.

345-6 with five overs to go.

We've played proper shots though Deb, that's what really made it so enjoyable.

      400!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jordan goes, then Rashid, hat-trick ball and Liam Plunkett fucks it over the rope for six. 400.

      End of innings.

408-9. F***ing hell, what a joy to watch that was.

Now, we have to be able to defend that don't we? I know New Zealand have got some big hitters but surely, over 400 is defendable even for England.

Don't think I've ever seen over 400 scored in an international one day game before but like you say weve got to defend it now.  At least I'll get to watch their innings once I've got the little uns in bed.

First time 400 runs have been scored in a one dayer in England.

Wow, 210 runs, pretty much a perfect performance apart from the new boys Roy and billings failing, hopefully some positive signs for the future, pleased for Finn and Rashid

2nd ODI, we're unchanged and New Zealand have brought Southee in for Henry.

Kiwi's won the toss and elected to bat first. First couple of overs, we've got them jumping around a bit.
