it was a superb team performance and executed so well by Cooke. it had draw all over it so to grab a win like that was special 2-1 up against a very good Pakistan team.

I am right in thinking somebody on this forum said Joe Root wasn't a one day player aren't I?

He's hit four consecutive 50s in this form of the game. He's our 15th highest run scorer in the 50 over game, with only Jonathon Trott (of all F***ing people) having a better average than him. Best all round batsmen in the world.

While in the meantime, Alex Hales has hit the highest score for an English batsmen in ODI's. 171* currently, on his home ground of Trent Bridge. Breaks the record, gets given out very next ball but Hales has reviewed it. Hit him full on the toe, that's plumb. Bye bye Hales but what a F***ing knock - 171 off 122.

If everyone is firing, in fact if only 3 or 4 of them fire, we have the most explosive batting lineup in the world.

Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali in next if needed ;D

Fastest england ODI 50 for Butler. Could he even get his own 100?

To be honest mate, that's what I love about Root. He's not the explosive type but just holds it together, going at a run a ball while the others leather the F**k out of it. Morgan, who I don't often praise, is giving it a proper welly here now as well.

      Comfortably getting 400 right now.

Yeah Root is pure class. The best batsman in the world in any form of the game. He's the perfect foil for our many dashers.

Our old problem against spin has raised it's ugly head again against Bangladesh.

And how the F**k Moeen Ali got a 50, I don't know. Five reviews he survived.

What an absolute shambles, we have no chance in India, out batted and out bowled , without stokes would have been even worse.

Been watching Australia v South Africa on BT Sport. Since I don't and will never own Sky Sports I have to say it's been great having live test cricket on my tv for the first time since the last Ashes test on Channel 4 in 2005.

But my god if you'd told me back then that I'd be watching an Australian side get humiliated at home by South Africa I'd have told you were off your mind. As a massive fan and supporter of Aussie cricket, that was terrible to watch. 8 wickets gone today in the space of an hour and a half to lose the match and the series.

We're a shambles and have been for a long time.

The occasional big innings from Warner or Smith papers over the cracks but our batting lineup has been F***ing crap for a good few years.

What has happened to the old Aussie fight that was around in the old Waugh brothers days,as the current skipper said he was ashamed of the performance against South Africa-and so he should be.

Had to laugh at the sydney morning herald pathetic attack on the England teams performance in rajkot saying that they were destroying cricket. Simple fact is they aren't as good as they used to be and can't handle it. The last few months have also shown with the prevalence of one day and 20-20 cricket the art of batting has changed and the ability to bat defensively and for.long periods of time is going out of the game. It is now much more exciting but at times the quality is questionable

Great to see some new South African blood in our ranks :). 100 on debut for Jennings. Well in lad.

Enjoying the India series. We are really up against it and need to win these next 2 matches just to get a draw in the series, but the matches have been well fought.

A 2-2 draw would be a really good scoreline for us, but it could quite easily wind up being 4-0.
