Pitch is a cabbage patch, and it's only day 2. England will be lucky to get anywhere near 200 in their second innings. They are now 339 behind, Windies still have 4 wickets in hand.

      So 1-0 down.

Windies racking up over 600 run lead. They must think England had a chance of getting 500 otherwise why bat on. Root has only give Rashid 9 over in the Windies second innings.

England will probably struggle to get over 250. England will have to bat for 2 days on a wearing pitch to get a draw. Only a question of how many runs the Windies will win by.

Windies finally declared on 415 for 6...England need just 628 to win.

Cause they've still got over two days to get England out so they're running England's two main bowlers into the ground to make them tired for the next test

England on the rack....246 all out...Windies win by 381...bit of a thumping. Yes Foakes is probably the best keeper but I would've stuck with Johnny Bairstow. Gives a place for another batsman or whatever. Got to sort out the top order. Burns has done well.Jennings less so.

Don't think England have given up on Haseeb Hameed, the Lancashire opener. Seems to have lost it a bit but England need a settled opening pair, always the bedrock of a decent test team.

Going in with 3 pace bowlers left them light. Woakes in for Rashid, Bairstow back behind the stumps.Broad in.

      That leaves. Burns,Jennings,Bairstow,Root,Stokes,Butler,Ali,Woakes,Curran,Broad,Anderson.

5 pace bowlers, Ali spin with Root. Bairstow Batsman wicket keeper. Just been said Windies will produce flat wickets suited to pace bowling.

Change that,Jack Leach in for Butler. Right & Left finger spinners, plus Root's mixture of finger and wrist spin. 5 pace bowlers.(Broad,Anderson,Curran,Stokes and Woakes)...still bats deep with Woakes coming in at No.7.

Think they will go with 2 spinners as the next test in Antigua might be flat and may well cut up. Butler might stay in with my selection Woakes missing out. But I think Butler is a white ball player, coming in at No.7 in test cricket you need a bit more patience to get the best out of 8,9,10. But Butler is vice captain and Root might want him in.

Burns,Jennings,Bairstow,Root,Stokes,Ali,Butler,Curran Broad,Anderson,Leach....although Foakes will probably keep his place.

I'd highly doubt they will go with two spinners next up

Antigua won't spin much, West Indies will back their taller stronger fast bowlers to get more from the surface like they did  last time

If we need a second spinner it will be root (he out bowled Rashid last time anyway)
Knowing how the current selection goes I'd imagine there will only be one change and tgatvwill be broad for Rashid

Their mantra is one game too many than one too short

(Potential Woakes for Curran but I don't think they will)

2 Spinners for the second in Antigua will be a serious consideration. I'll be surprised if they don't and as I said Jack Leach with his left arm finger spin will expect to start or may be they'll stick with Rashid.

West Indies went in with one spinner and look likely to again
England read the pitch wrong and are more likely to follow the home teams balance than go in with two spinners again

No way Rashid plays. Root doesn't know how to use him

Well that was the first test and it was expected to be one spinner for the first..2 for the second. They misread it for the first now they are much more likely to go with 2 as expected before they got here.

I still go for one change (possibly 2 if Woakes replaces Curran) of broad for Rashid

      Broad back for Rashid
      Denly in for Jennings

      One spinner (plus root)

One up to you as they went against Leach. I think bringing in Leach was a serious consideration. 4 seam attack with Broad coming back in. The pitch looks greener and may be that swung it. I still would've gone with 2 spinners with Foakes out Broad in.

England batting first as Windies put them in. Could be a bit of movement off the pitch early on and England need a good start..but as I say one up to you.

      1-0.

Still plenty of cricket to come.

Pitch is bit lively. England need to sit in and see off the new ball. So much grass on the track, such a green top. You don't see that to often in the Windies.

Burns out...4...moved a little off the pitch...just straightened slightly... 4 for 1....Bairstow in. Really like this lad, top professional. Hang in there John.
