200 will be a very tricky chase on this wicket.

Just need to hang in there and get a few more runs on the board.

200+ will be tricky. Wicket is turning, nearly always does 4/5 day of a test in India. But a couple of good sessions for India might see them scrape home by 3 wickets but there's nothing certain either way.

Foakes will have to chance his arm to get a quick 20 odd. Anderson next and last man. Ashwin back on. Still a hour's play.

I think India will chase this. Our spinners not on the level of theirs and they'll get enough loose balls to put away.

It will be an interesting chase but England got stuck in no man's land with the bat.

Its been the India wrist spinner that's done the damage. Obviously we don't have one of those.

Root can bowl leg spin but not front line stuff. Need 230+ here. India deal with spin as well as ...Foakes given out...LBW....close...ask ing....appeal...not out..191 on..Foakes out..C&B..Ashwin

Foakes out..191 on. Maybe should've tried to hit instead of creeping along. Throw the bat now...Anderson out..0

India need 192 to win..have to bat for about 6 overs. Not enough runs.

Very poor by England, had a lead, 220 would've been enough but bowled out for 145. Not over yet but India slight favourites.

Root opening the bowling. 4 from the over. Hartley on..put away for two 4's...not a great start by spinners. 9 from the over.

Hmmm should have started with seem. Won't get any turn with the new ball. Hartley bowling leg stump half volleys for Rohit. Field settings allowing for easy singles.

Another test another what could have been.

Stokes doing that annoying captaining for effect thing again rather than to tactics. 2 spinners 1 a part timer and 1 a rookie struggling to grip the ball opening the bowling.

Stupidity in the name of doing things differently.

By the time the ball is ready to turn the match will be done. England should be playing to win test matches not for Ben to see what he can come up with next.

No pressure on India...full tosses, loose deliveries..32-0. Odd one turning but India great start. Hartley bowling poorly.
36-0. Hartley's length is all over the place, Root not much better.

Bashir on. Stumps..40-0. 152 to win.

So more nonsense cricket for England who refuse to take advantage of games of cricket when ahead.

India today outplayed them to turn a day they started 140 runs or so behind with only the tail left into a position they need 150 to win with a full batting lineup to chase it.

England from their second innings..sh*t...needed a modest 220 to leave India 260odd to win but they made a complete mess of it and collapsed to 145 all out. Then open with Root and Hartley and their line & length was below county standard.

Never can call this game but India now in the box seat.

England making a habit of throwing games away from a position of complete command.

The bowling wasn't upto much. But if the batsmen had done their job and not collapsed again then they'd have more to bowl at. But as it is they're bang up against it. Who knows what tomorrow will bring but its looking like a heavy defeat I'm afraid.

Jurel innings the key there. India were in deep trouble when he came in but he dug in and got them close to parity. England were staring down the barrel themselves a few hours later but no one could replicate his innings.

Fair play to Kuldeep and Ashwin as well. Both were class.

India need 40 odd with 5 wickets left. England need wickets or it's gone. 151-5..41 to win. England just didn't have enough runs on the board. Now 38.

With India batting 4th and after England had posted a first innings lead of 40 odd England should've known they had to knuckle down for their second innings and at least 200 but they bungled it. Not dead yet but England need something dramatic.

31 needed.Gill 35...Jurel 25...Bashir 3 for 60 odd. This will be 3-1 with the last test 7th March. So series lost.

The T20 ICC World cup will be held in New York and Barbados. Decided in 2021. Semi's and final in Barbados.

But down to 20 needed here. England hardly had a appeal since Bashir taking a couple of quick wickets at 120. Now 172-5. so they had a chance at 120-5 but just produced very little.

      Gill hits a 6..14 needed...another 6...8 needed...2 to win..game over..India win by 5 wickets.

Lost it yesterday England. Let their tail wag and then bottled it with the bat.

Shouldn't be losing that match the position they were in on day 2.

England beginning to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory which is just about the worst trait a sports team can have.

Good effort by the bowlers today. Sadly the batsmen threw it away. Even another 50 to play with it would be 2-2 now.
