The Strauss "catch" was a blantant cheat. You could tell by De Villiers reaction he knew he hadn't caught it but still went up.

aye i'm watchin it with a very unhappy face now.

conditions are certainly bowler friendly. Very overcast, and the clouds don't look good, could piss down any minute. Pitch itself is slow with an average bounce. Carryin through quite nicely.

SA haven't need to use a spinner yet. That's how good their seam attack is doing.

Current score 177-6 (Flintoff and Broad in)

Ten minutes on and Flintoff (17) and Broad (17) out. 181-8. What a joke. This is the best England have to offer? Monty is in now with Jimmy Anderson. Only that Pattinson lad to come in. All out for less than 200 probably.

i just heard broad is out now from the commentators David Loyd on the radio recons KP Flintoff and now Broad have all gone out playing silly shots they also mentioned the catch and they reckoned it defiantly touched the ground strange the ump gave it usually those ones in a test get referred eh? they said no blame on devilliers but the other guys around him should have seen the ball touched the ground

De Villiers knew, you could tell by his reaction. His face told the story that he'd dropped it. Umpire referred it to the third umpirse diz, that's why Strauss stayed in. Then got out edging to Boucher not long after.

Jimmy Anderson just hit a four.

      Monty gone. 186-9.

Debutant Pattinson in now. 200 still looks a struggle.

5 more runs for 200. Come on Jimmy and Pattison. Just to reach the milestone might install some cofidence for when we go out and field.

200 is up curtosey of four wides. Finally something to cheer about.

All out for 203. Top score 45 from KP. Lowest score 0 from Vaughan (what a surprise) Morkel and Steyn pick of the bowlers both gettin four each. Ntini (Ambrose) and Kallis (Bell) chipped in with the wickets too.

Now tea, then our bowling. Lets see how we do.

203 all out! Not a great batting performance, didn't think they would even make it to 200.

Just have to bowl extremely well now!!

Ended the day takin three wickets, all three by the Lancs bowlers Anderson and Flintoff. Anderson gettin rid of McKenzie and Kallis, Fred gettin Smith.

Amla was caught by Vaughan (f***in good catch an all), then the SA balcony sent him back in and the replays showed it did hit the floor. Get into them tomorrow and get rid of their middle order and we're still in a chance.
