Burns out..lost sight of a bouncy one from Hazelwood. See if Benny Stokes can get a score, we need it as we don't bat that deep.

Perhaps not on paper, but we do have a tail capable of causing some damage if the batsman take us to 250/5. Bit of swing for Marsh here.

3 gifts of wickets for the Aussies today. That was very ugly. Put the pull away, dont need to be handing them wickets.

I like Bairstow but if he gets out bowled or LB for cheap today then questions will be asked.

Vaughan is right, Payne has had a shocker this morning at the toss. We have to learn sooner rather than later to put the foot on his throat and not let it off. This is easily a 300/6 day for England if they play properly.

Play in the V and win this match.

Bradman went through the bodyline series.

Bowlers still bowled fast back then, and if Bradman would have been hit on the head like Archer did to Smith, without a helmet, then that would have been career over at best.

What's the difference between bodyline and some of the deliveries from Cummins, Hazelwood, Archer etc which are aimed at the body? BTW Wasn't it only one series which had Bodyline before it was banned?

All the fielders behind square on the leg side that you would want, no '2 for the over' rule on bouncers from the umpire, uncovered pitches and no helmet.

      It's a batsman's game these days.

England need to dig in this first half hour before cashing in just before the new ball is due.

      No ball.

Was just about typing that Curran is a decent player but he wont like the short stuff or the follow up full one.

Hes got a life but must get forward and not shuffle across.

Brave it out, he wont bowl for much longer.

That's the fourth life this innings, we have to eventually make it count.

I'd have loved to see Anderson in this series. Different game when the ball swings and its notoriously something the Aussies cant cope with.

Could've easily been 8/9 wickets down by now..but we're not so lets hope we dig in and at least get 250+.

Curran lucky with the no ball let off. But Cummins is a great bowler, moving it both ways in the air and off the seam, really hits the deck hard and still only 26.

Curran out playing one day cricket.

      This is ugly to watch!

Butler, Woakes and the tail now. We need 300 because Australia will be looking at 400

Anybody know why the floodlights are on? Turn them off. Its sunny.

At least Starc is not there to chomp up the pitch for Lyon..so England obliged and played Curran to help Lyon out.

      Woakes out LBW..for 2.

Come on Joff..get a nifty fifty..

Bit of swing and the wheels start coming off.

Mitchell Marsh 🤣 England making real heroes again out of our equivalent of county jobbers.

Tail has to play for Buttler now. Not the first time hes been left stranded recently.

8 down, Warner will be getting himself in the zone. Not long now until he can look forward to putting his feet up.

Let's have some fun then. Buttler has more talent in his little finger than some of the Aussie middle order. Time to show it.
