Bloody on to something here England. Changing the test game for good I would say if other teams copy.

And now Jonny Bairstow has reached his half century.

What form this man is in.

I'd say he was 1 in in away from the dreaded hook for good and now he's the best batsman in 2022.

Hes always had talent just been susceptible to the being bowled and LbW more than any batsman in living memory.

What a summer he is having and I think teams better watch out even more come the ODIs.

India were reeling at 100/0 but managed to convince the Alim Dar to change the ball to last year's dukes that swing.  Broad been at it all summer too. The balls this year aren't great but I think teams are playing on it now. Changed the course of the match until the ball has got old again.

England will want to get this done 1 way or another before the new ball is due and before lunch.

The Broad dismissal of Pujara looked like a no ball. They didn't check it looked as if Broad overstepped.

Was behind the line when you pause it on impact

Be interesting to see what happens if we lose one early. Whilst I hope stokes is positive ... if we lose one early he needs to accept that and bat for the win and not a slogathon everyball and be wreckless like he was first innings.

It's there for the winning .... before lunch or not long after. Don't give them a sniff.

Got a feeling he's going to live and die by the sword. What you and I would call common sense seems to have disappeared but its getting the message across to the team at least. I do just wish he'd give himself 20 balls to see what's what though.

People forget when he won that game against Australia atHeadingley he was 2 off 58 overnight. He's always needed a bit of time to get going.

India going for the jugular after 8 balls for the new ball.

Tough chase this in these conditions, the last one got them 2 wickets and created a run out who knows what this one does.

Exactly. He's shown when he bats properly ... gets himself in that he can get big scores.

Trying to smack a swinging ball out the ground from ball one just sends the wrong message I think. If it's a bad ball by all means snack it. Try and be positive ... excellent.

You know what I mean. He's a top order batter and I don't want him trying to slog every ball out the ground from ball one. Too many good bowlers about and he will fail much more than succeed.

Root or Johnny B should be putting themselves in the frame for SPOTY here.

World Cup coming up too isn't there?

      Worth a quid.

almost 5 an over in the second innings  this is a transformation almost on a par with Everton winning the league this year.  Well maybe not but what a win.

Just saw this headline. That's a pretty epic chase from England.

I thought England were absolute dog dirt? Now a change of captain and coach and things are alright?? Cricket experts of LFC Reds - what's changed??!

New coach/captain bounce has been outstanding so far. Think it's down to having belief in people and trusting them and not baffling with bullshit. Mccullum and stokes don't strike me as the sort who are too bothered about techniques etc. Just tell them to go out and give it everything
