And when was the last time you used that word in a sentence? Not too many active volcanoes in the UK are there?!  ::)  :D :D :D

Woa, woa, woa there F9T! This is called the BRAIN GAME, repeat BRAIN GAME. I don't think the average human knows, let alone uses words like that. Hoteliers of the world unite?  ???

Yak I tor I - is a Japanese type of skewered chicken.

The idea of the game is to recall from memory a 3 syllable (or more) word. I know how to use search engines on the Net but that's not the point of this game!

My point exactly Alessio! Welcome to the game and I hope you enjoy the challenge! Your English is very good by the way and I hope you learn many more useful words.
Unfortunatly I would prefer to keep this game English in the main but I guess a few foreign words here or there won't be too bad so long as they come with an explanation.
It's about fun and education so let's share in each other's knowledge.  ;)

Thank you, RED1028! I agree with you that it's necessary to use your mind. I have just wanted to ask wether many English use or know those words in everyday life.
That game only reminds me one game from my childhood. It's based on the knowledge of geographic names. Some one names any geographic place (more often towns, cities or countries) the next participant has to say place starting with a letter of previous name. The main rule: the name mustn't be repeated.
For example: Liverpool - London - Naples and so on...
So we used only our mind.

Used previously by me on answer 8... so now what happens?

If a word has been used previously (God knows who's gonna keep a check on all this, me I suppose, I started all this ::)) we'll start with the 2nd last letter - in this case A...

An i mal i stic -  Enjoyment of vigorous health and physical drives.

Hi Nicola and welcome all new players in the Brain Game!

      A recap on the Rules:

      * Start a 3 syllable (or more) word using the last letter of the previous word.

      * Only use the 2nd last letter if a word ends in Y and you are stuck
      or
      * If you know for sure and can prove (quote) a word has been used recently (let's say in the last 10 answers).

      * Geographical and Foreign names are welcome with a description.
