£5 million.  Let's hope he does something in the World Cup to inflate the price a bit.

He isn't going to go for free - he is on a long term deal and is admired in many parts of Europe.  He doesn't become a bad player overnight - he is obviously just strugglin with the English game.

I expect us to get back more than half we paid for him, or he could be used as a makeweight in some swap deal.

I honestly reckon we could do a bit of business on him.

All depends on the World Cup like was said earlier.

      nope, I am not.

look at how he managed to get more fouls than ball when his teammate loop or cross the ball to him. when he tries to jump, he lose his direction in his header. the only time when he score, is when he don't jump ( I guess that's the only advantage over any striker for he connects to the ball w/o jumping given his height) but then that also happens he was lucky to have defenders losing sight of him.

he can't control the ball, he can't create chances, he's as good as heskey, except that he's tall and not as muscle as the latter. keke...

Sell him back to another European side, we'd get a bit for him then.  He can't adapt to the Premiership so would be worth more abroad where he can play.  After all, we bought him based on his previous performances and he's a proven goal scorer at Real Zaragoza, Real Madrid , Monaco etc and he's an international so he must be worth a couple of bob on the market. :D

Crouchy is well the better of the 2 . I'd sell Morientes for a packet of cheese and onion  and a pint , but I know we'll get well more than that for him , as he'll still command a fair price on the continent .

Just thought I would resurrect this old post - because now he isn't in the Spain squad it could really reduce his value.

I think we are going to get rid of him in some part-ex deal.

Anyone else agree - in terms of cost - Benitez' biggest Liverpool flop?

In terms of cost? Yeah, definitely. He came with a great pedigree, but hasn't really done much. I honestly believe I could have scored more goals this season than him. And I'm sh*te.

A player dont get bad over night.

How long has he been with us?
      Not that long im sure.

rafa must see something in him.
Dont forget we all slated kewell for the last 2 prev seasons and and look how amazin he was this one.

      Give him a chance.

P.s that dont mean i dont want 2 new strikers. Kuyt & Aguero for me.

I agree with Garcia10, He still shows glimpses of class when he's playing, but i think he is so down on confidence he doesnt know what to do with himself. He is a class player but he is gettin on, i would like him to stay and not be sold but if he goes in part x for a younger player (poss joaquin/alvas/villa etc) then i will be sad that he's gone but if its for the best for LFC then it must be done.

      Come on Morro!!!!

Moro has always been a trier, you can see it in his face everytime he misses the net,  unfortunately he's not premiership material, its not his style, he always looks like he's getting pushed around like a little boy lost to me !!    Good luck to him wherever he goes, but if we're to make a serious challenge for the PL next season i'm afraid he's got to go.  Sorry Moro  :(

He's said himself if he's not playing, he won't stay.

To which I say - if you're not scoring, you wont play.

How hard's that to work out? He's had a season and a half to do the business and hasn't. Waste of money.
