Torres Returns To Face Inter

Fernando Torres returns to lead the line as Liverpool look to secure a first-leg advantage against Inter Milan in the last 16 of the Champions League. 
The Spaniard, who has missed our previous two matches after picking up an injury on international duty, will be supported in attack by Ryan Babel and Dirk Kuyt as the Reds aim to get back to winning ways after Saturday's shock FA Cup defeat against Barnsley.
 
Steven Gerrard, Pepe Reina, Javier Mascherano and Fabio Aurelio are also recalled to the starting line-up for what promises to be a tough evening against the Serie A Champions.

Looks like a 4-3-3 disappointed theres no Arbeloa but lets hope we can take them down and win this match and the return leg convincingly.

EDIT: Must win match, hope every liverpool fan at anfield sings their heart out tonight and makes it another great european night at anfield.

My one concern, StevieG sulking... he hates it there, but it's where the team plays best.

Playing Kuyt and leaving Crouch on the bench is insane as far as I can see. I think we'd be far more likely to score or create more space for Torres if Crouch was playing. Instead it looks like Torres on his own with Gerrard playing behind then Kuyt and Babel on the flanks.

Yep it is a very strange decision looks like a more attacking formation with kuyt and babel out wide supporting Torres upfront. Hope this works we need it to so much. everyone has to play their best tonight sounds like such a cliché but we can beat these we just have to believe we can.

We'll have to wait and see whether it goes that way or the way I said. Either way, I'd rather have Crouch on instead of Kuyt.

So's MsG, I just phoned her and she's in the boozer! Just thought I'd tell her the team but it's far too noisy!

Curious line up, would prefer Gerrard and Masch in the middle with Pennant penetrating out wide. Good to see Crouch on the bench, he could prove to be a very effective sub after Kuyt has worn himself out!  So the front line duties fall to Torres and Kuyt. A lot of pressure here tonight but I feel we can do the business and with Pepe in goal an all important lock out is very possible!
