Broadband down. Everything - telly and wireless........

Hopeless how dependent we become on these machines.......

Only got broadband a while back, wouldn't know what to do without it now. Got freeview on tv but there is no sport. Anyway hope you are better soon, had a heavy cold myself, battled through work all last week despite my better judgment,  one of our managers comes in on the friday dressed like she's off on an Antarctic expedition,  stays for less than an hour , coughs twice and decides to F**k off home saying she's ill. The perks of being a boss

Losing friends and family seems to become a regular occurrence once you past 50. It still always shocking news and a friend who had battled Cancer for so many years finally lost his fight . It makes you more aware of why we should cherish every day and especially nights like this coming Tuesday

      Feel for you Shabs.

My dad was a bit melancholic after gordon banks died as he is the same age. A lot of his family, old friends and work colleagues have passed recently.  Tried to cheer him up by telling him he is the same age as robert redford.

I think as we get older we become less judgemental about people who find themselves with difficult self inflicted health problems its very much a case of there but for the grace of God go I.

Agree. It’s very easy to sit and judge, but had the time it’s to make yourself feel better.

You never know what set of circumstances leads someone to head down a certain path. Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend mate.

So, we get the results of school placements for my eldest, he passed his 11+ for grammar & these schools were put down as preferred choice 1 &  2 along with 4 other local schools..

He got none of the 6 schools due to catchment area, we missed 2 by 500 yards but was given a place in a school 5 miles away.. which obviously is not in our catchment area & has no bus route for the first 2 miles..how the sweet F**k does that work?

Obviously he gets the brains from the Mum! that’s no small feat, you should be proud.

      No chance of appealing?

The 11+ was his choice & he has been put on the waiting list for KES & Queen Mary in Walsall, however the other 4 schools that were the back up he never got & I think he’s been put on the waiting list, I put the appeal in this morning with local authority & the local MP will support my appeal,my lad is not the only one from he’s school that it’s happened too, 4 other kids have had the same issue & all been offered the same school...

The school offered has a 1* rating with Ofsted...

Also was told this morning KES from next year will only take kids from the local catchment & not nationwide...

Moving apartments today, go outside to the street where I park my car to start loading it and some f**ker has keyed it right from above the wheel arch all the way across the rear door.

Literally no idea who or why someone would have done that. It was only temporary accommodation, hardly anyone knows I live there and those that do I haven’t any issues with. Don’t know why people do sh*t like this, I’ve had a sh*t ton of expenses recently and have been battering my credit card and now have to get this sorted out. Wankers.

Only just got it back from the garage after managing to take the wing mirror off (entirely my fault that one!). Would get rid of the thing if public transport was more reliable, more hassle than its worth.
