I am not sure i think so. It has only happened recently and i am hoping it is only because of a recently installed software so i might give a system restore a go and if that does not work just reinstall windows as i have a back up disk. But if anyone has any thoughts or ideas on the subject please let me know i need help i am dead id i cannot get this problem fixed.

Well Gow since the last restart which was about 2 hours or so i have changed the power plan to balanced and uninstalled fm manager as when playing the game that was the only time the restart occured and so far so good just hope it was because of the installment of Fm and nothing to do with the bios or motherboard.

keep all things away from the fans in the laptop, or it will overheat and crash.
The only other thing is it sounds like your windows may be fu**ed and need a re-installation when you get that blue screen.
if it came witha  disk, put it in and re install it if it keeps on happening.

Robbyr, i have only had the blue screen once and that is while playing football manager so i uninstalled football manager. Its not like other people i do not even get a chance to read the screen its just a flash. I have a back up disk but not a vista cd, it was integrated in the laptop i am sure that the back up disk will work.

      I'm not sure.

I used to have a Dell laptop and I just went on to their website and put the model number up and it came up with all downloads, one being the updated bios.

I don't know why, well I do, it's 'cos I'm an IDIOT, but I have deleted my Laptops, sound drivers.

I think they were in a programme/file called Audiotrack. Any one got any idea how I can rectify my stupidity. They are on the recovery disc, but they are NOT accessable. Looked on Google but not that easy as they always claim they can offer the world but do not. Anyone got ant ideas?

Well do a system restore on your computer to a date where you had the sound drivers or on device manager right click the section where the sound drivers where and click scan for changes. To get to system restore just press start search system and then click system restore and pick a date where the drivers worked.

Yeah, do a system restore like back to a month. I once got an MSN virus and I was told to do it and I think it worked. Downside is, whatever you've installed from that date you go back to , to the date you decided to restore it , disappears.

It will work i am sure of it. It re-installs everything back to the day the restore point was made.

The time and date keep getting messed up on my computer, for the last couple of days I'd turn my PC on and the time would be off I then fix it and the next time I turn it on it is wrong again, and today the time was right for once but the date was off. ???

Anyone know what could be causing it?

Don't worry, he scares me as well.

I have got problems - mostly down to a lack of RAM. But there's other things as well. Definitely gonna have to get a new comp soon. Just can't be arsed with all the hassle of sorting this one out.

Anyone know any good cheap deals just for a tower? The spec doesn't have to be amazing.
