Top professional and one hell of a player.

I still think he could have a role to play at some point this season. I'd use him as a holding midfielder if we needed some good passing. He is still possibly the best pure passer in the team.

Such a shame really, if it wasn't for all of his injuries Enrique never would've even been looked at.

Completely agree, he is an immense player. So unlucky with injuries...you never know he might pull some magic out of the bag and play every game from now until the end of the season!

Real shame to see Fabio go but I can understand with the lad not having any luck with injuries, thanks Fabio for all the things you have done for the club and I wish you the very best for your future you will be missed.

Like Fab, think he is a good professional and a good example for the younger players. He's a good player but injuries have just had too much of an impact on his career which is a shame. Being in his 30's and having so few appearances this season I think shows that it's time for him to move on and have the club concentrate more on young Robinson. Never once moaned or complained about lack of playing time, always said he was motivated and working hard to get back into the team, unlike a lot of players who sulk and put in a transfer request.

One of my favourite players during the past few players; most certainly one of the most talented players we have had during that time, but also one who should have played many more games then he has managed to achieve, with us, and with Brazil.

His pure natural footballing ability is undeniably and his loyalty, unquestionable; never moaned once during his difficult moments, which unfortunately, has occurred more regularly then we expected.

His injuries were the real shame, he has just had so many that he hasn't been able to play a regular run of games, or stay fit for any duration of time. Every time he played, i have a slight worry that he might get injured again, which always seemed to happen.

I think it is best for everyone if he moved on, while seemingly a popular and good lad in the dressing room, still doesn't deserve his wages if he unable to play and i expect we won't renew his contract. It will probably be best for all parties if he moved on; he might move clubs, which might be a change that could re-spark his fitness, or he could possible retire.

He has my full respect and i think i speak for all Liverpool where we thank you for everything you have done for us. Your service has been very much appreciated; i wish you could have played more but i'll never forget some memories you gave us. That free kick against United in the 4 - 1 win will live in every fans memory.

Lots of warm comments here (too many to quote) about a great professional with the perfect attitude. It's such a shame that his career has been affected by injuries in the way it has been. He has been a great role model for the younger lads to look up to and try to emulate.

Can just imagine how smooth our back four would be if he wasn't made of glass :( I love Enrique but lately he's been woeful, hope it's just a minor dip in form but Fabio's touch of class has been missed and would complete the quartet at the back.
