Youngsters sent out for experience in lower leagues, unload some of that unwanted baggage and bring in some classy players. Barnes is used as back up, still young and shown some promise at Derby which is very hard to do or really easy as there would be sh*t house players around you, doubt it though. Villa/Silva to add class to those positions that need it to give us that spark we have missed this season at times.

Ok interesting thread. How do we know the value of these players, and is it guaranteed that Villa would come for 25 maybe he would want more but nevertherless I would offload;

Are you mad? why get rid of Lucas when he is turning into a great player and will have a great future, he is going to be world class.

I would'nt want to get rid of Carson but if the right offer came in then he would go, think its time Riise moved on, he doesn't seem to have the passion when he plays anymore, Voronin an possibly Kuyt

I'd offer valencia 40m for both villa and joaquin, I  feel thats all the squad is lacking a top striker and winger.

Kewell is out of contract in the summer, even if he was I very much doubt there's anyone willing to pay £4m with his injury record anyway. Kuyt I am certain would raise more than £4m if we were to sell him, he may have fallen out of favour with a lot of our own fans but he is very highly regarded by other teams, I reckon we'd recoup about £8m if we sold him. I also doubt Valencia will let a player go who's improved whilst with them for less than they paid. You never know with a lot of unrest behind the scenes there, but I couldn't see him going for any less than £20m.

If it was down to me I would sell:

Voronin - £2m
Riise - £5m
Carson £10m

And I would buy:

Villa - £25m
Silva - £20m
Kaladze - £5m

Total outlay £33m, job done

£40 million.  I could buy a serious group of hecklers to follow Tom Hicks round 24/7 with that kind of money.

I'd personally like to see Robbie Keane or Berbatov at Anfield to partner Torres.  I also think Stewart Downing would have been a decent acquisition for us.

Since when have we spent £40m net in the summer? Theres your answer, why would things change now?

We can try and raise some money but who in our club are worthy to let go for a worthy price? Maybe Crouch to Newcastle or someone like that but we'd get peanuts for Pennant, Benayoun, Riise, Kuyt etc.. we'd only just raise £40m

Just remember that we have just spent £18m on Javier Mascherano, I bet that £18m is the net difference that we were aloud.. now its sell to buy I'm telling ya !

Ok i see your point but i doubt that will happen and hope it wont to be honest. I do think selling all those players without bringing in replacements for their postions would leave us out of the top 4 next season, no disrespect to the players you have decided we should buy they are both great and i want to see them in a liverpool shirt but we would be left with 2 strikers one currently playing as a winger for a start.

I hate the owners from the pit of my stomach but i cant see them saying you cant buy anyone unless your paying for it yourself by selling players rafa we arent giving you a penny.

Yeah I suppose they will give Rafa some extra money, but somehow I just can't see an extra £40m given to him. I think if we can get two wide players and try and convert Babel back into a striker then we'd be talking.

Rafa will find the players required, well hopefully but I just hope he doesn't buy a Pennant or a Crouch again. I'm not disrespecting these players, I just don't think they are good enough to be at a club like Liverpool.

I think they may just give him around that amount. I hope so.

Yeah wide players should be our main priority as well as a LB a new striker and rafinha imo.

Would cost a bomb though and although it would be great i cant see it happening. I can see hammill and or anderson coming back and pushing for a first team place, Maybe villa and rafinha coming in and us finding a good LB.

Selling Carson Riise and kuyt would give us around £20 million to spend and im sure other players than that will leave aswell

More than £10m for Dos Santos, probably £15m at the least but he is a prospect so I doubt they'd need to sell, and Richards knowing he is a good young player and he is English probably £20m at the least!

Trueeee. Plus the fact Richards signed a new deal recently ( i think he did anyway).

I'd rather Bojan than Dos santos anyway.
