      In the dark dusky days,
A little more than a century ago,
      A beautiful bird was born,

Yet when she looked upon a team in white and blue,
Her heart in two it was torn,
For blue is the colour of upset and cold,
      In such a somber emotion,
      She refused to grow old,
      She spread her wings,
      And then began to sing,
Such an enchanting sound it was said,
And from that day till this,
She decided her colour was eternally RED.

She flew on her maiden flight,
Up-into the sky on a cold Mersey night,
She landed on a roof top at the greatest height,
      Seeing no fear,
      Not recognizing fright,
For her RED passion she would fight,
      And from that moment on,
      And forever,
      Liverpool would never say never.

      Through two world wars,
      She would keep guard,
      Over Liverpool City,
      Standing tall,
      Keeping hard,
Through falling bombs watching Liverpool suffering in pain,
      To fly and take flight,
      She vowed never again,
      With tears in her eyes,
      She watched all the hurt,
As sections of her great city,
      Disappeared into dirt,

Then one glorious day in nineteen forty five,
      The bombs they stopped falling,
Their was no more need for her people to hide,
      She glanced over her shoulder,
And lifted her head with pride,
      She could see Anfield,
      The REDS had survived.

      A new era was dawning,
      Of RED passion and emotion,
Their was dreams to be realized,
To be shared by supporters of true devotion.
      A short few years later,
      Everything did change,
      The arrival of Bill Shankly,
      And the bird sang again,
      "Walk on"
      She sang,
      "Because I refuse to fly",
"Just so long as my people need me",
      She began with a sigh,
"I will just sit up here, and you will shelter under my wings",
"I will wait a few short years",
Until the REDS are crowned kings.

And in a very short time it did happen,
I dont have to tell you the rest,
From out the ashes of broken Liverpool,
      The Reds became the best.

      We saw Liddle and Hunt,
      Cally and Smith,
      The Liverbird lives,
      Shes not just a myth,
      Then later we saw,
      Heighway, Keegan and Case,
We made the rest of the league look a total disgrace,

      Then in later years,
      After winning trophies galore,
And leaving hundreds of teams embarrassed by the score,
      Disaster struck once more.

96 sons and daughters of our RED belief,
Flew up with our bird to heaven,
Us Reds left suffering in grief,
And although this story is not over,
For we will never let it rest,
Until the day that justice is done,
Two flames will burn brightly on our crest.
To mark that ill fated day,
      Of tears and despair,
      You couldn't truly understand,
      Unless you was there.

When their souls arrived at Heaven,
      Guided by the bird,
They arrived at the Pearl gates,
It was Shanklys voice they heard.
"I am for the people in good times and bad,
      And what has happened today,
      Is nothing but sad,
But you are with me now,
      There is nothing to fear,
Leave our family at Anfield to shed all their tears,
      For I promise you now,
      The REDS will not rest,
      Justice for all of you,
Has become part of our crest,
      That our players shall wear,
      Next to the hearts,
We have always been one big family,
      Right from the start,
And a family we shall remain.

      Now every so often,
      When no one suspects,
      The Liverbird will fly off,
      Temporarily vacating her nest,
      And fly over Anfield,
      To look at our game,
Just to make sure her eleven children are still playing the same,
And she returns to her nest,
Her heart filled with RED passionate desire,
Liverpool FC we will reach higher and higher.

UNTIL WE CONQUER THE BLOODY WORLD.

Another by him off that page:

      ISTANBUL

      YNWA.

It was cup final night in Istanbul,
And the ref had just blown half time,
All the Reds around the world,
Looked to heaven for a sign,

      God was drinking his co-co,
      And reading a good book,
When Shankly hammered on his door,
      Screaming "Boss ya gotta look!",

Together they turned the TV on,
      And watched the unholy score,
"This must be the work of the Devil" said God,
"Get Bob in here and shut the door",

      Together they made a plan,
      To turn the game around,
"It"s gonna take more than holy intervention" said Shanks,
      "It needs a heavenly sound".

"But there is no choir of angels that could lift those players hearts",
As Liverpool sat in the dressing room,
Waiting for the pain of the 2nd half to start,

"Listen" said Bob with a knowing smile,
      "We don't have to worry",
"Grab your coat and get Emlyn",
"Quick Lad, we have to hurry"!

Shanks stood proud in the dressing room,
      Telling Raffa what to say,
While Bob listened in on Milan's plans,
      For information he could relay,

Emlyn sat in between the Kop,
      To cheer the supporters up,
Not one person in the world,
Thought that the Reds would lift that cup,

      Then somewhere in the distance,
A shout--"WE CAN TAKE OLD BIG EARS HOME"!,
Then we got engulfed in the heavenly sound,
      Of "You"ll Never Walk Alone".

The song lit up the dressing room,
Bill smiled "Our work is done",
      Bill Shankly, Bob and Emlyn,
They knew the cup was won.

For there is no choir of angels,
That can out sing the Kop,
      No golden harps or trumpets,
Can knock us off the top,

God had a word with Paisley,
He asked "Are you sure, theirs lots more to play?"
"The cups going home to Anfield" said Bob,
"I know, its the Liverpool way."

Shanks nodded his head with delight,
"He is correct sir, isn't he Hughes?"
      Emlyn just answered,
"We have just lit the glowing red fuse",

"We have just woken up the worlds best player",
"The famous Liverpool Red twelfth man",
"Just sit back and watch how the Kop play",
"The shouting will kill off Milan".

So as a Red never disrespect,
      The players in our team,
With us all shouting for them,
We will all realize our dreams.

Another brilliant piece,it is poetry like that what makes you proud to be a RED.Those pieces should definitely pe put up in the dressing room at Anfield just to remind the players that they are privileged to be able to play for L.F.C.

      One For Suarez.

He joined our club at the start of the year,
He’s no angel, he’d shout and he’d swear,
Argue with refs and bite at your ear,
He said nothing racist let’s make that clear!

They banned him and fined him without any proof,
They sided with Fergie and the boy who cried wolf,
He wears number seven and our new Kop hero,
He’ll miss eight games but it should be zero.

You target one, you target us all,
That’s just how the LFC family play ball,
So stay strong Luis, this fight going to be tough,
But we’re by your side always singing we just can’t get enough.
