Fernández undergoing a medical. Looks like they're trying everything to push that through.

Massively overpaying. Good player but come off it if anyone thinks he’s worth anywhere near that much. That amount is being paid on the back of a few good games at the World Cup…. A mistake many teams make.

Chelsea still yet to make a signing that makes me think they’re really improving the team. Every signing seems like a scatter gun approach or just because that’s the player people are talking about.

Half the signings and money being paid is laughable, think teams are just massively overvaluing their players now because they know Chelsea will pay it.

      They can crack on.

FSG probably looked at Tod Boehly and the consortium of backers he has got inc Saudi and realised this is the way to raise funds without dipping into their own pockets.

It’s embarrassing what they are doing and it’s even worse the overreaction from our own fans - they are trying to play fantasy football

Their squad is a joke. It's so bloated it's easy to see how it could be difficult to manage. As a player you would have little certainty for the long term. Hoping that blows up in their faces. They will surely have some kind of success through sheer force of spending power but I think they will struggle to maintain it if the stability, togetherness and vision aren't there.

They have spent a fortune yet on what exactly - don’t seem to have got any real star quality for the level of money spent

Best player they have is a 38 year old who was free

Fernández is top class. Other than him I'm not impressed with any of their big spending signings.

I'm surprised a proper centre forward wasn't top of their list this window just gone.

Squad is now stronger ( in debt ) than city yet playing mediocrity football. How long before another manager walks the plank?

They spent £65 on 2 young players- Badiashile and Madueke and they can't even get them into the champions league squad.

Potter won't last. Simione would fit there. Or maybe they get Mourinho back armed with more cash.

"Chelsea have hired All Blacks leadership manager and mental skills coach Gilbert Enoka in a short-term consultancy role.

Enoka's focus will be on developing team culture and integrating the numerous new arrivals to manager Graham Potter's squad over the past six weeks"

Easy to laugh at this kinda thing, be don't think building team spirit is ever a bad thing, if done in the right way.
