I was stunned to hear they want Warnock and Cash for this pr**k, If Rafa wants him wait a year and get him for nothing. As for Warnock the lad just needs a bit of luck to get a run of games under his belt and he'll prove he's a better player than Neill will ever be.

I don't really want the guy but let's be honest about a couple of things.

A) we do need cover at right back for Finnan.
B) he will be cheap or free
C) he has experience of the Premiership

I expect him to sign in January.

I reckon that jigsaw has been shaken up in the box then emptied all around the house.

Would be surprised if Liverpool decided to offer any money whatsoever in the January transfer window.  I think Rafa will wait till he is out of contract in the summer.

yes we may have alot of defenders, but none of them are really RB are they theres no cover for finnan. and as there is no cover that means finnan may become complacent, knowing that there is no-one to come in for him if he ain't performing.

It's all gone a bit quiet on the Neill front....Keep your eyes peeled for info.  Does he have his own website. Usually snippets of info on that kind of thing?

We may have lots of defenders but no real cover for Steve Finnan. If we lose him to injury or fatigue we need a replacement to keep the shape of the team. Aurelio, Riise left backs, rest are centre backs. Carra can play there but why take him from centre when he's so good there

I agree mate, cant see why people are against signing this player, always looks ok when I have seen him albeit on TV or when its against us. He also has that aggressive and sometimes nasty streak that i think we lack in certain areas.
