Only team unbeaten at home in 2008. I think the last was to United 0-1 in December 2007.

United lost to City in February at Old Trafford.

      14 points.

The reds highest ever points tally in the Champions League group stages.

We're also currently on a 69% win percentage in the league.  The club's highest ever in history over the course of a season was 71% in 78-79.  We have won the league 17 times out of 18 with a lower win percentage than we currently have.

Bill Shankly took charge of Liverpool for the first time but unfortunately it was a disappointing day as the Reds lost 4-0 at home to Cardiff City on this day in 1959.

League Table over the last 10 games

      1 Mancs P10 W8 D2 L0 (26)
      2 Aston Villa P10 W7 D3 L0 (24)
      3 Wigan P10 W6 D1 L3 (19)
      4 Arsenal P10 W5 D4 L1 (19)
      5 West Ham P10 W5 D3 L2 (18)
      6 Everton P10 W5 D3 L2 (18)
      7 Liverpool P10 W3 D7 L0 (16)

Abysmal.  Completely destroys Rafa's theory of 'important not to lose'.

Look at Wigan with their 'important not to draw' stance.  You will note how they threw strikers on last night.  It's what they do. Sometimes they win, sometimes they lose. For players of our quality that approach would work far more than it didn't.

As far as I know this is Liverpool's highest 'season-long' total for a long, long, long time.

yeah, edited, thanks JD. Damn, it would really be awesome if we can collect 16/18 points.

We've been winning games we didn't win last season(Man City-away, Chelsea, Man United) and we're not winning games we won last season.
