      Jürgen Klopp's record as Liverpool manager in the first game after crimbo;

      2015 (Boxing Day) - 1-0 win over Leicester at Anfield. Christian Benteke scored.
      2016 (27th Decemeber) - 4-1 win over Stoke at Anfield. Lallana, Firmino and Sturridge scored and an Imbula own goal in there to.
      2017 (Boxing Day) - 5-0 win over Swansea at Anfield. Two from Bobby and one each for Coutinho, Trent and Chamberlain.

      Jürgen Klopp's record as Liverpool manager against Newcastle;

      P 4, W 1, D 2, L 1, F 5, A 5, GD 0, PTS 5.

      Newcastle at Anfield in the League - 9 wins in 81 attempts. The last coming in 1994. And that is just one of two wins they've got at our ground since 1950 in the League. In the 21st Century, they've conceded two or more League goals on 15 of the 17 occasions they've come to Anfield. And in that time they've failed to register a goal of their own 9 times.

      The death of everpresents for an entire season.

      It's over 20 years since we had a single player play in every single season. The last two players to do it with Stig Inge Bjornebye and David James in the 96-97 season. In the thirty years prior to that, there were only six seasons that we didn't have at least one everpresent in the team; 70-71, 88-89, 90-91, 91-92, 92-93, 93-94. Remarkably in 83-84, we had four players as everpresents in a 67 game, treble winning, season - Brucie, Hansen, Alan Kennedy and Sammy Lee.

      For the current season, we're 25 games in with both Mo and Bobby having played in all 25. Can we buck a couple of trends this year? As well as the League Title finally coming back to Anfield, are we possibly going to see an everpresent in the side as well?

      Mo Salah now has as many goals for Liverpool (59) as Phil Neal and Peter Beardsley. He's just one behind Emile Heskey.

      Dejan Lovren also scored today taking his total for the club to seven, the same amount as Robbie Keane, Lucas Leiva, Stewart Downing, Joe Allen and Oyvind Leonhardsen. Meanwhile, Xherdan Shaqiri's sixth goal for the club today took him level with many others including; Neil Mellor, Mike Marsh, David Speedie, Markus Babbel and El Hadji Diouf. And Fabinho's first goal for the club made him the 451st different goalscorer for Liverpool Football Club.

      Was a much weaker league back then compared to now so would be a great achievement.

      Posted in Arsenal game thread.

      In the calendar year of 2018 scored highest points total in the history of LFC  ....  88 from 37 games.

      Ratio per game of  2.38 points ! Awesome.

      Mo Salah netted his 60th goal for the club today, taking him level with the legendary Emile Heskey. Bobby Firmino got his tally up to 59 to join Phil Neal and Peter Beardsley while Sadio Mane's 42nd goal for Liverpool equals that of 60s star Bobby Graham, 80s star John Wark and 2000s star Peter Crouch as well as 1890s goalscoring machine Frank Becton who scored 42 in 86.

      Bobby became the 96th player to score a Liverpool hattrick and the 285th hattrick overall for us.

      We've now scored three or more goals in five of our last six Premier League games.

      A 5-1 win over Arsenal is our second ever highest win over the Gunners, just behind two 5-0 victories in 1893 and 1964.

      Scoring five today took our goal tally under Jürgen to over double how many we've conceded. 372 to 185.

      Klopp's win percentage in the League now is the highest of any Liverpool manager who managed us in 50 or more League games. (second only to John McKenna who managed 30 League games)

      After Brighton game this was Liverpool's 50th clean sheet in the Premier League under Jürgen in his 128th match as Boss since  October 2015...

      42% of those have come since Virgil's debut in January last year (21 in 37 games)

      Mo has scored the opening goal in nine Premier League games so far this season; three more than any other PL player.
