Having a weird summer aren't they?

Pretty much their entire first 11 went deep into the World Cup and they still haven't signed anyone.

Interesting to see their 11 for their opening game.

I reckon they will get Grealish and Zaha before the window shuts.

We need an Official Lets All Laugh At The Spuds Thread.

Interesting comments on BBC Sport ...

Football is not like that because people start to figure you out and make life difficult - as Harry Kane found out at Vicarage Road.
      Is everything OK with Kane?

Kane in the Premier League this season
                     Shots           Shots on target     Goals
      v Newcastle   2                  0                 0
      v Fulham           4                  2                 1
      v Manchester United   2          1                 1
      v Watford           2                  0                     0

Despite scoring six goals and winning the Golden Boot, I was not 100% happy with Kane's performances at the World Cup. In many of the games, it was not the Harry Kane I know.

When I see Kane at his best, he is not just scoring goals - that is the easy part for him. He is dominating back fours, he is taking the ball in and firing four or five shots off in a game with his left and right foot.

I cannot remember the last time he did that. He is not striking shots from long range anymore. And you cannot put it down to tiredness - for 45 minutes against United he gave Phil Jones and Chris Smalling an absolutely torrid time.

Against Watford, he was waiting for something to land on his plate. He had one opportunity late and headed over the crossbar. On his best form, he makes things happen.

      Interesting take on Mr K.

That pitch reminded me of watching MLS games from the mid 2000's where teams played in NFL/NCAA football stadiums and the lines were still on the field. Gross to watch.

Spurs are finished for the season without Kane IMO, in Europe and the title race. Bet the Chavs will beat them in the 2nd leg of the cup too.

By the time he’s back this time they could already be completely out of the title race, out of the League Cup and probably all but out of Europe.
Last season I’m pretty sure it was around March time he picked up the injury? So they were already out of everything by then anyway.

Made some reference in a sly dig at us a couple of days ago I think, Poch that is. Saying how they are still in 4 competitions. This was before the Chelsea game which they lost so that’s 3 competitions. They are well out of the title race so that’s 2 competitions, and they will be out of Europe in a months time.
