BENAYOUN REPLACES BABEL FOR SEMI-FINAL

  Yossi Benayoun has been recalled to the Liverpool side in place of Ryan Babel for this evening's Champions League semi-final clash at Chelsea.

I presume with Chelsea playing United last weekend that Babel will come on late to to meet a few knackered Chelsea defenders.

Looks like Babel is gonna be in that super sub role for the late stages of the game when players start to tire.

Whilst I'm not confident, nor am I without hope. The pressure is all on Chelsea and all it takes is a single bit of magic from someone like Fernando or Cap'n Gerrard and we're suddenly edging in front. I disregard the fact we haven't scored there for years, we haven't gone there playing for goals and we've not had a better team visiting Stamford Bridge for some time.

Once again, we are the underdogs, and I like it that way. Let's shut those Chelski cu*ts up and book our place in Moscow.

I like the line-up tonight! I reckon Rafa is looking to control the midfield and possession of the ball, with the idea that once their players are worn out, our super subs Crouch, Pennant and Babel will come on and tear them apart!

I'm not too surprised about Benayoun coming in for Babel. He didn't have a the best effect against them at home.

Should be able to give them a good game with that team. Hopefully a good few players of ours will step up and put a very good performance in. I want to see the desire to win and I'm sure rafa will have drummed that into our lads.

Stay sharp at the back and get stuck into them with pace.

Everything about that lineup says we will be lining up with a 4-2-3-1 formation. So much so in fact that I have a sneaky suspicion that Rafa might start out 4-4-2 with Gerrard on the right just to throw their gameplan out the window. I do see us converting back to the 4-2-3-1 after ten minutes or so though.
