      Lest we forget Michael

There's a collection for Michael shields at the game on Saturday. Once again lets all dig deep, it's taken a while for the club to offically come out and support Micheal, but they are letting offical collectors inside the ground on Saturday. This kids parents have a £90,000 fine to pay that was kindly impossed by the Bulgarian authorities. This equates to them paying £8000 monthly installents. This will allow Michael to serve his ten years for a crime he did not commit, in a British prison.

I was in Bulgaria after the European cup final and there was hundreds of Reds there, this could of happened to any one of us. It didn't, it happened to some kid called Michael Shields, so lets everyone help all we can.

Everyone stick your hand in your pocket - think of it as buying the lad a pint.  ;D

Hope he gets back home soon. 15 months ago we won that trophy. It's a joke that it's still carrying on.

And get them collection buckets outside the Players entrance as well...

Non-paying millionaire footballers will be named and shamed...!

F*ck off you bluenose c*nt. You'll be gutted by this news you bitter tw@t. Apparently the collection was more than anyone ever imagined. Mates of mine said there was £20 notes in the buckets.

This Josh just goes to show the difference between Liverpool fans and all the d*ckheads who go and watch our slightly sh!t neighbors across the park. Think we know why he's got 1234 in his namethough. 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 NIL!!!!! RUSH SCORED ONE, RUSH SCORED TWO, RUSH SCORED THREE AND RUSH SCORED 4!!!

      Scumbag.

I´d say how would you feel if it happened to one of yours but that´s pretty unlikely seen as you have had your trip to Europe for the next 20 years already.

Read this info on the LFC site and think it's important to keep it fresh in people's minds...

HOW YOU CAN HELP FREE MICHAEL SHIELDS
      Mark Platt 01 July 2007

The mother of jailed Liverpool supporter Michael Shields has called on the club's fans to help free her son after he was locked away for a crime he insists he didn't commit.
Shields was arrested in Bulgaria just days after the watching his beloved Reds lift the European Cup in May 2005.

Despite another man since admitting responsibility, he remains in prison. Six months ago he was transferred to HMP Hindley but the fight for justice continues.

In light of new evidence, a petition has been set up urging the Prime Minister to recognise the deep concerns that are being raised about his conviction and Mrs Shields is hoping the support of fellow Liverpudlians can help get the case re-opened.

"A significant new witness has come forward who has been interviewed under oath and who saw the attack on Martin Georgiev first hand. The witness confirms that Michael was nowhere to be seen when the attack took place," she says.

"One of those convicted in connection with the attack has confirmed to Councillor Joe Anderson that if the trial is re-opened, he will swear on oath that Michael took no part in the attack.

"In order to get Interpol and the Bulgarian authorities to re-open the case, the U.K Foreign Office needs to intervene and it would hugely help the chances if tens of thousands of people signed the petition.

"Michael himself is doing well, and continues to be encouraged by all the messages of support he receives from Reds everywhere."

I've stickied the thread with the petition. If anyone hasn't already signed it, there's no excuses for not spending two minutes to help an innocent man get justice.
