INSUA AND VORONIN START AT THE LANE
Jimmy Rice at White Hart Lane 11 May 2008
Emiliano Insua will get another taste of first-team football in the final game of the season at White Hart Lane this afternoon.
The promising left-back is in the line up along with the recalled Alvaro Arbeloa and Andriy Voronin.

The Reds XI in full is: Reina, Insua, Arbeloa, Carragher, Skrtel, Babel, Gerrard, Mascherano, Kuyt, Torres, Voronin.

Subs: Itandje, Hyypia, Finnan, Lucas, Benayoun.

Seems certain Crouchy and Riise are off.

Alonso not in the 16 mind :(

Voronin? Referee. I would have much prefered Crouch to start.

4-4-2 then with Voronin or Kuyt out on the right?

Shame there's no Alonso in light of recent rumours.

Damn I hate this selection. We've gone back to what looks like a 4-4-2, have included Voronin and Kuyt and Xabi ain't even on the bench. I really hope this is just a little test and Voronin finally convinces Rafa to sell him when he scuffs a shot over the stands from 2 yards out.

Pleased to see Insua again, bodes well for the lad next year, and I hope Torres breaks Van Nistelrooys record today, he's well deserved the accolade.

Rafa has put out a very strong team there, well apart from Voronin that is :o

It would be nice to end the season on a high, so I've gone for 2-1 to Liverpool.

Shame about Xabi, looks like he's a goner then :(

Come On Lads, do the business today in the sunshine  :scarf:

Torres to break the record........Hope so ;D

4-4-2 my arse tell you what this is its 4-1-3-1 to really go out and have a go at the spuds sh*te defence. Even with woody woodgate in it its still a sh*te defence and breaks easy a bit like woody woodgate.

Well you do need ten outfield players Prag, even if their defence is sh*t. :D

Sounds like Torres is up for it today! Just bombed it at the spurs defence.

It looks like there's only that tv ants link Crouchinho.

If we win a penalty it will be interesting to see who takes it, whether Gerrard does or lets Torres take it for the record

Voronin just had a volley saved. Sounds like he's injured himself in doing so though.

Looks like Crouch is definitely on his way out.  Voro starting today isn't heartening.  Would rather see one of the reserve strikers get a run out, but oh well.

Same here regarding one of the reserve strikers.

Sounds like a bit of a stop start game.

      Oh dear.......... shame !

I've got wigan/man utd on the radio, they keep going over to the chelski game, where Terry has been stretchered off.

I'm still waiting for them to go over to White Hart Lane? to get some sort of feedback, I might have a long wait, so the only information I have is from you guys on here.

Yea I am stuck to livescore so have no idea what is happening.

Terry has apparently broken his arm, ffs the commentator is spoofing over him/

Could be a sign that pennant is on his way out too. Voronin is probably only playing because Rafa know it will be hard to find a buyer for him and he wants good morale in the team.

      outs:                                        Ins:

      crouch                                  World class winger
      pennant                                World class striker
      alonso??                                World class right back
      Voronin                                  and one other player
      Finnan
      Risse
      carson

Probably` all the transfer work will be done by us this summer

Does anyone know how insua is playing?

^^ Ray Clemance (no Aldo today) said he started off unsteady but he's settled down now.

Pepe just made a brilliant save before.

As long as ManUre loose the EPL today I don't care what happens to Chelski.  Although Id' like to see them.  Although they just took the lead on a penalty shot....

Not surprised the mancs are winning.

But anyway, no talk of any other teams in here.

Pass from Gerrard to Voronin and he lost control.  ::)

It sounds a bit similar to the first half against City last weekend. There doesn't seem to be any real sort of chances on goal for us, but Pepe made a brilliant save to keep it 0-0 before.

I would love to see Torres get a hat trick today.  What a way to end the season.
