Andrea Dossena (Liverpool to Napoli)

Would have liked to see him get a run out as a sub for Benayoun. We kinda lost our shape when Ngog came on with Steve on the left. After his one decent performance against Fiorentina would have liked to see some consistency and reward for that by giving him a 20 min run out. Probably could have used some width today hes got a killer left foot on him and one of those crosses could have been converted. Even bring Ngog on for Kuyt then Doss would have had 3 people to aim for.

Rafa at his best mate. Don't know why the crust the lad was played so well only to not even be considered. Not given a chance not being able to pull his socks up!

I like Doss... he would have provided the creativity with crossings in the box.. I hope we keep him and rotate him to play on the left wing. We are lacking there big time. Benayoun offered nothing today and has been very poor in the last few games. I thought Riera would start on the left but seeing he wasnt on the bench today, I take it he was injured?

I don't know whether you liked Doss before the Fiorentina's game or not but I guess not. He was piss poor and just one performance later, he's redeemed himself, in your eyes at least.

Not for me though, just 1 good performance doesn't turn him into a good player. But yeah, credit where it is due he was boss against Fiorentina.

Still, I would reserve judgement on him before changing my mind.

we have no choice but to reserve judgement, as we possibly won't see him again for some time.  we'll only know if it was a one off or the start of something good, if he's given some sort of opportunity to play his part.  he looks like he's lost some pounds and that will certainly help him, as his main problem was speed, but he looked a lot leaner and quicker the other night.

Same as most of you think. Great showing at the Fiorentina game. Don't like his new hair do tho. Should  go back to the shaved head!

He should have played yesterday offfers way more than aurelio when he plays and always does his best.

His last game for us against Fiorentina he actually did really well. So at least he ended his LFC career on a high note. Shame he could never really sustain his form.

Just didn't settle here which probably affected his performances but at least he gave us a couple of good memories.

Remember - unlike Babel and Voronin, Dossena didn't complain about a lack of first-team football or anything that didn't concern him.

He kept himself to himself, and tried to improve to win us over. Will always have a soft spot for the guy for the goal against the Mancs, and Real of course.

Agreed. I always thought more of him for being professional.

Shame about the money we lost on him, but we got a bit back and will have saved quite a bit on the wages he would have been paid, so not too bad.
