Doesnt really deserve to be discussed on today of all days.

Mate, you could rightly say that about all of the rest of the non-Hillsborough board today. This is no different to any other topic IMO.

No, Ngog, No Owen, No Bellamy.

Let's let NESV show their cards and make 'quality' signings. None of the above are the quality needed to add to Carroll & Suarez, on a scale out of 10 (for differing reasons) none of them would score more than a 6.
Is right, mate. We need more strength than that.

Highly doubt Kenny would suffer from player power, he would be damn honest with those lads if they stepped out of line i reckon.

Give me Neil Mellor before this clown.

Mellor has been doing good at Sheff Wed, at least he's been scoring unlike Owen.

He's the last thing we need right now 32 years old and injury prone, to say nothing of the disproportionate wage bill. A liability in every sense of the word.

No matter what happen (and there were PLENTY things that did happen, in Owen's case), no matter what he said or did, no matter if his ex-mate Stevie G. said to him (rightfully), the man (Mike) is simply one huge page of our club's history...
We just can't wipe-out what he gave to us, can we?

I'm saying these to all the "Reds", that very easily excusing and cursing M.Owen. He was/is one of the greatest players in our history - and that's a fact. Let's imagine if, Stevie G. WOULD left us (that moment, we all know) to sign in Chelsea... Would we forget and excuse him "just like that"? I think not.

I'm afraid when he signed that dotted line beside the devil that is ferguson, he lost all legendary status at this club no matter what he achieved here!

The reason I became a Liverpool fan was because of him but I've no affection for him anymore.

Wouldn't say he was a HUGE part of our history, he probably has a paragraph at a push, not a page.

Either way, whatever acclaim he did hold here was pissed away when he signed for them tw*ts & then proceeded to rub salt in the wounds with his bitter comments. Surely the lads got splinters in his arse from all the bench warming hes done since he left us.

I loved Owen, had his name on my shirts, thought I was him when playing football. My walls were plastered with him. When he left us I still followed him and was happy when he scored, not so much because he'd hurt me and left our club but he was still one of my favourite players (I was young) As soon as I heard he had signed for united, that was it, any affection I still had for him was gone.

I think, you're too hard on Michael. And probably rightfully.
But, you DON'T know (most of you), what really happen and LEFT in the first place (to Real Madrid). In Carra's book, there is a part about that insident and you can quite easily found, that Michael had STRONG problem with Rafa Benitez from the very first training in Mellwood!!! Also, as the rumors saying, in his way to Manchester, Michael called Rafa and asked him if he likes to turn right and head to Liverpool - and Rafa said nothing...
Also, you're supporters, "fans" (from "fanatic"!) and you're see the things from the "fans' point of view" - you're forgeting that these are PROFESSIONAL players, they're doing that for their salary, as job. Any professional, except if he found and started a work by himself (like a store-keeper), he's not "that much attached" to a job and if he thinks it's best for his future, he's changing firms/companies etc.

Also..., no matter what you think, M.Owen didn't "just a paragraph at a push" or a "page" - but a large chapter.

The reason that is SO PAINFULL (we had many great players that left us before, like Rushie or Keegan), is that Michael signed to our WORST RIVALS, the team we hate so much, the ManU sc*ms. That's all about.

You're wrong, simply put some of the greatest footballers in our history are Dalglish, Gerrard, Barnes and others from years gone by.

Owen isn't even the club's greatest striker, that accolade still belongs to the greatest of them all Ian Rush, followed by those like Fowler, Dalglish, Keegan, St John and Hunt.

Owen is in the same boat as the other rat FT, both can go and F**k themselves.
