And i still believe that if he was played in his natural position (as a striker) he would have scored much more than he did.

I'm on the same boat. I remember the game vs Atletico Madrid at home where he played as a striker, was immense that night!

Trouble is we had no one else who could play on the wing as well as he could every week.

I watched alot of the game actually, I think he'll do well for them. Don't be surprised if he scores around 20 goals for them this season. Though it depends where he'll play, he started on the wing, but moved to striker position the 2nd half and looked better there. He'd be more of use to them there I think, but they just signed another striker too.

I read that he'd like to play another 5 years for Feyenoord, if possible. Wouldn't be surprised if he'll take on coaching after that at Feyenoord.

Good to hear mate.  Always had a soft spot for him, gave everything and then some whenever he donned the shirt.  Keeps himself fit and his battery won't let him down just yet.

When Torres left, I thought we should've shifted him into the middle. Not only was he very combative, but I thought he had great movement, and on top of that, a clinical finisher. Would've been interesting to see him play along side Suarez on a regular basis.

We had just signed Suarez and Carroll so I don't think that was ever going to happen.

Yeah. At the time, I didn't think we should've signed Carroll and should've used Kuyt or N'Gog until the summer, then see what our options were :)

Dirk giving his kids Feyenoord jerseys, and then tells them he's going to play again for them next season. Great reaction from his kids, lovely to see.

      Lovely.

I am such a huge fan of Dirk Kuyt. Miss him so much. Got a Feyenoord shirt because of him. Probably gonna try to watch them a bit this season too.

That clip with his kids is part of a documentary which follows him from the moment he signed with Feyenoord untill his first Dutch league game for them. It aired last night, unfortunately it's all in Dutch, but someone did put it online: http://dai.ly/x3267uq

One thing's for sure, he's extremely determined to make Feyenoord champions. I think he might actually succeed, although they aren't favourites, PSV are.

Seriously, I think he was one Of Rafa's best buys, loyal as they come & an unbelievable work ethic.
