What was that like, did people look out for one another? Or was it sheer madness? Just curious.
We all looked out for each other.
We were so tightly packed you had to make sure your ciggies were in a top pocket.
You always got there early for 1 to half 1 to get the best "spec".
Your crew always acknowledged another crew standing in their favourite place.
Backs up against a crowd barrier .... thats the way its started.
Never ended that way.
Surges were cool when the whole Kop pushed forward as the lads were attacking the Kop goal ..... then the scrabbling back up the steps.
There are many notorious stories surrounding our days in the Kop.
