Glasgow Rangers Vs Liverpool: Sat 02/08/08 15:00 K.O.

Guess someone must start this thread :

For me its been a funny sort of pre-season, games in Austria, Germany, Spain, now Scotland, back to Spain and then to Anfield, No tournaments as such, is this a cost saving exercise, or a clever ploy to get lots of different levels of opposition, and watch will be the level on Saturday?

Rangers should be a comfortable game, but after their 0-0 on Wednesday they may be up for a fight to keep their places for their 2nd led, who knows and who cares. But what I do care about is the Liverpool Team, I for one hope, (and it probally will not happen) is that Rafa puts a reasonably strong team out there and does not chop and change during the second half.

I'd like the victorious Spanish players to have a good run out, 60 mins or so to get some fitness back and team understanding.

Yeah am hoping for a strong lineup aswell.
Deffo agree with the Spain players getting a decent run around because of fitness.
Like the look of the lineup if thats who we go with, but I reckon the young lads will get a game.

I think Masch and Babel are off at the Olympics

Yeah they are cause Babs scored for Holland in a pre Olympic friendly.
Plus the Olympics start in a week.

Redpuppy dont forget Dossenas a left back and Degens injured mate. Crouchinho dont forget Masch is at the olympics as are Babel and Lucas.

I would play Alonso in a more attacking role as im desperate to see him there on a regular basis but that means making gerrard unhappy by moving him out wide, only playing one of torres and keane or playing without much width.

If we are to change it all (almost all) again at half time I'd love to see.

I seen them play Schalke a couple of weeks ago and they look really poor on the night, maybe they will be better at home vs a English side but if the 0-0 vs FBK Kaunas is anything to look at we should be looking to score some goals and win this game.

ı think diego should be in first team . and at defence, younger s have chance .keane is not ready yet.

Good call. I'd go along with that lil cisse. But maybe alter it so Alonso comes on in the second half in an advanced position like you say and then Spearing playing behind him. Then have Plessis behind Gerrard in the first half.

Either way though, like RedPuppy, I'd like to see the Spanish lads getting a good bit of time on the pitch. Only two more 'practice' games left after this one.

I hope we stuff them to leave another bitter taste in Walter Smiths mouth....for old times sake. 

We need to see players getting on the score sheet now.

Oh yeah by the way Rangers seem to play in a 'try to stop the opposition scoring rather than try scoring ourselves' kind of way. I think we will beat them, they do play a defensive kind of game though but i feel we have the players to break down teams like this now.

I have a stream for it folks stay tuned and I Will post some links when I have more info. It will be NOT BE english commentary Im afraid but if you are like me you will probably find that quite refreshing seeing as 90% of the ones in english are utter sh*te.

I think that its time that more people started playing the full 90minutes IMO... then again that sacrifises some of the less experienced players chance to get a run out but we cant be worrying about certain people who we dont want playing come the sunderland game.... maybe a very strong line up for the match with the majority playing at least an hour of football
