Favourite Sweets - The False Teeth By The Time I'm 40 Thread

Anyone else love sweets when they were little? I did, so thought it'd be funny to start a thread on it!

Double Dips - Two flavours of sherbert to eat with the Swizzlestick, if I remember correctly!



Rainbow Crystals - more multi coloured sherbert delight!



Candy Shrimps - Don't know why I loved them but I did!



ABC Letters - maybe my passion for reading came from eating so many of these? 

I just love getting a big bag of pik 'n' mix, I get nearly every type of sweet there and end up spending about £13 but its worth it (although a lot of the sweets are big and make the bag weigh more so it should only be about £12.50 )

Yano the rhubarb and custards?
Not the hard sucky sweets but the wee chewy ones, their awesome!

the old 2 penny golf ball cheewys were nice.

fredos - haven't had one of them in donkeys years

Here's another good one: Fizz Wizz Space Dust, that stuff that used to explode on your tongue like fireworks in your mouth!

If it has sugar, i'll eat it.

Rainbow Drops, you used to loads for a 1p     Black Jacks and Fruit Salad as well, oh yeah and Mojos !!!

And what about Bullseyes ? They were lovely with toffee in the middle

One of my favourites was McGowans Highland Toffee it used to have a big scary hairy cow on the wrapper!





i used to love all toffee even bon bons (but we wont go there!) and it never did me any harm.





If I'm honest though id rather have a packet of pickled onion monster munch any day of the week.

I used to love those double dips!



Strictly heterosexual now though. 

I used to like those little white chocolate drops covered in hundreds and thousands, my Mum used to let me decorate cakes with them, I've still got a thing now about white chocolate, especially the white chocolate champagne truffles from Thorntons

I prefer white chocolate myself i put it down to my nhs round lensed glasses i had to wear as a kid, only the milky bar kid didn't have elastoplast over one lens!

Well, let's just say that Wham bars require some tolerance from the tastebuds.

Them Highland Toffies cost me about three teeth when i was a kid.

And do you remember these? Bet they aren't allowed to sell them nowadays! I remember whipping them out as a lad to try and look cool!

I've always been a milk chocolate person myself.  Werther's butterscotch is pretty good too.

But these would be two of my favourites....

Used to love all the 1/2p & 1p sweet trays especially Refreshers. Christ they were really sour back then and my mouth is salivating just at the mere thought of those tooth rotters.

Toffee wise it had to be those Bluebird Bullion bars. Guaranteed to rip yer fillings out.

Yes, had totally forgot about them, a bit creepy when you look at it now but back in the day..

Just picked up a couple of Yorkie-biscuit and Raisen,first time in years,very good much better than the milk choc ones.Also had a fry's chocolate cream for the first time in maybe 20 years or more!
