Forgive, I'm new to this forum and have stumbled across this message.
PLYMOUTH does have an official supporters club which is run by a fellow called Duncan Hedges. It's been in existence for numerous years, but sadly, like many clubs, the allocations have dwindled. And now it's got to a stage where there are few trips, 5 I thinks currently a season. And a very small allocation, 16. So its shares a coach with another club the last i heard.
This leads me onto me, and what I do. I've tried for numerous years to get my supporters club official, but like many, NOT A CHANCE. So, I started an unofficial one 2.5 years ago. Spent the first 6 months arranging fans to meet at local pubs showing our games, before we decided what pub suited our needs. We now have pub on board, PORTERS, on the Barbican in Plymouth.
We now are 350 strong, we brand ourselves with getting our own pin badges made with a new design each season, which we sell as way of a membership, which in turn gives a discount at the pub on match days as long as it's worn. We watch on mass, and we sing from the hearts. We also have a 16 seat minibus, and we do try to run trips. The only downside is, we all try and source our own tickets. Which we do. I have plenty of contacts. We are certainly looking at doing 4 a year.
Here's hoping that this thread gets revived
