Guillem Balague's word is like a touch of death, i dont believe him one bit. He said Villa is coming, wrong. He said Bentley will come, wrong. He said Silva will come, wrong. He said 2 months ago that he has a surprise very soon, signing Keane was a surprise but over a month later so....wrong again.

Hope he aint wrong with this one.

At one point i thought he gave us a little insight being "close to Raffa" and all that, then it became apparent he probably knows him as well as i do...

No who has Tomkins actually worked for, can't stand his writing to be honest, and at least Guillem doesn't need freebies to go the game, unlike Tomkins in Barcelona!!

Good to have another winger! With the leaving of Voronin and a left sided winger, I can see more of Babel being third choice striker up front. Will be nice to see him up there.

All the City lads at work were amazed at this signing.  Not one of them a) believes he is a good signing and
b) Understand why Rafa has bought him with better players around.

I just hope that it isn't another player that gets used out of position.

No photo call with Rafa. How strange... Riera is back in Barcelona today.

For internationals... Riera is not in the spanish squad.

Maybe it's Rafa that's gone away for a few days to think things over and, hopefully, re-charge his batteries (and Judas-Parry & Yank patience levels) for when he returns.

Mate, he arrived on Saturday, he spotted by quiet a few folks in the Sabor de Cuba club that night.

He was supposed to be presented yesterday morning, but Stevie Finnan's personal terms were still being negotiated... just surprised Rafa did not hang around for a press conf, probably needs a break after the sh*te summer he has had with the powers that be.

I'm sure it will all be done properly next week... I hope so anyway!

No rush for him to come over to join.  I would imagine Rafa will be having a little break himself, unless he's up at the Riverside.

A friendly at Espanyol's new stadium (new stadium... jeez)... is part of the deal... new stadium is some way off... two years I think... but will be finished a good few years before ours!!

He seems pretty niffty, big occasion type of guy i just hopes he knows that this will be his biggest match to date
