      Ryder Cup 2008
      Sep 18, 2008 10:11:18 pm
Nick Faldo, boy he goes on a bit doesn't he in that opening ceremony.

Anybody planing on watching this - kicks off tomorrow.

I think the European team looks a little weak at the moment and the US not having Tiger may actually make them act more like a team anyway.

Should be cracking, although the US already have that advantage with Nick Faldo accidentally revealing his opening pairs.

No Tiger Woods, should be four times in a row for the European team then.

Did anyone watch Nick Faldo's speech in the opening ceremony.

I think he was F***ing pissed.  Loves the sound of his own voice, and went on for about 10 minutes introducing his family and telling us all what they do and how his son is good looking like his dad?

And his 'lady captain' is his ex-wife of 5 years.

I think he may be a ...erm... dick?

He won't have any room to look gay.

They have to wear the official colours.

      Sadly.

I think the answer you're looking for is...yes.

They also have to stand with that pose when they're not hitting a shot.

don't follow golf whatsoever, in fact I hate the sport, but any sport that has the yanks losing gets some support off me, so come on Europe.

I watched a bit of the morning matches before work, odd to see Garcia do quite poor in the team events where he has a great record.

Same I have to watch it through ESPN which is way too American-bias and one sided on everything (though I don't really root for anyone cause I am neither American or European)

Not started too well for us.

Garcia taking a bit of a clattering.

Unless something changes the Ryder Cup looks to be heading back to the US.

it's not looking good for the europeans.  harrington 2 down at the 12th, his is the last match and he'd need to win if europe is to have a slightest chance.

looks like we'll have to watch the yanks and their hi-fives and screaming u s a.

      annoying fuckers!

      Ian Poulter's a legend, I've just decided.

      Looks F***ing gutted.

He's just launched himself up near the top of my favourite sportsmen.

If it wasn't for Poulter, McDowell and Rose, Europe would have been on the end of a severe drubbing.  As for Faldo, well only one word in his dictionary and that's ''myself''.

Poulter has been a revelation though...as has G-Mac. Don't know what they were doing so far down the order.
