      True.

You like UB40 MsG? They're another in the ska/reggae scene who also have had a musical out.

Yeah, I like UB40, not one of me favourites though, never saw them in concert, didn't know they had a musical out.

I've got a great TwoTone album that you'd love, got The Specials, Selector, Madness on it as well as others, can't think what its called but I used to love that album.  ;D

Ah me twotone album is a 3cd set called "the best of ska" as well as Complete Madness (madness obviously) Stereo-Typical (specials again 3cds) and UB40's Volumes 1 & 2.

Haven't got a CD of the selecter *cough* christmas *cough* ;)

Whilst not necessarily my favourite films, two that good soundtracks were The Beach and Cruel Intentions.

Porcelain by Moby in The Beach is wicked, really puts you in the tropical paradise! ;) In Cruel Intentions, the songs Colorblind by the Counting Crows (quality tune that!) and Bittersweet Symphony set the tones of tragedy and triumph brilliantly.

Another film with great music is Withnail & I! Not only hilariously funny, a great soundtrack too! The film takes place in 1969, and the songs A Whiter Shade Of Pale, All Along The Watchtower and Voodoo Chile set the tone.

One Step Beyond and Night Boat To Cairo are quality Madness songs.

But on the Soundtrack theme, I agree with Ayrton about The Beach! Plus Vanilla Sky's soundtrack is a very good mixture of stuff. Love it.

Some of my favourite film music even if they aren't necessarily from my favourite films.

Everybody's Talkin from the film Midnight Cowboy

All the Simon and Garfunkel tracks in The Graduate

The 'Blood Rave' song at the start of the first Blade movie

Ennio Morricone's soundtrack to the Robert De Niro film The Mission

Nowhere To Run by Arnold McCuller and In The City by Joe Walsh from The Warriors

Bruce Springsteens Philadelphia from the film of the same name

Leftfielld, Iggy PoP and Underworld tracks in Trainspotting

Jungle Boogie by Kool & The Gang, Son Of A Preacher Man by Dusty Springfield and Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon by Urge Overkill and loads more from Pulp Fiction

I was never the biggest Beatles fan but for You've Got To Hide Your Love Away an honourable mention goes to Help

Steppenwolf ,The Byrds and Jimi Hendrix  from the film Easy Rider

The film 'Goodfellas' for Derek & the Dominos,Muddy Waters ,Aretha Franklin and many more

Apocalypse now for The Doors and of course the Ride Of The Valkyries scene

And finally...I See Ice by George Formby from the film of the same name ;D

"I've got a picture of a nudist camp, in my little snapshot album,

All very jolly but a trifle damp, in my little snapshot album.

There's Uncle Dick without a care,

      Discarding all his underwear,

But his watch and chain still dangle there, in my little snapshot album."

Iam joking about the last one!

Forrest Gump is another cracking soundtrack, through the different eras as Gump is growing up. Not my favourite film (though Gary Sinese is excellent), but one great song after another!

George Formby :D :D some of his songs are class. "When the lads of the village get cracking" is a boss song from the film of the same name. Can't remember which film it's out of but "I was leaning on a lampost". "Bell bottom George" both film and song are good.

Stephen King's The Stand has one of the best intro's ever: Don't Fear The Reaper! Gotta love the beginning of the film as the camera pans through the lab...

Quality tune that Ayrton! Who's it by? Reminds me of Death Cab For Cutie.

As Glenbuck mentioned before, the Pulp Fiction soundtrack is a gem!

Love this tune by the Statler Bro's:
