Abu Dhabi United Group linked with bid
Abu Dhabi United Group, who recently completed the takeover of Manchester City, are ready to enter the bidding for Spanish side Real Mallorca - according to reports in Spain.
Reports from the Balearic-based press claim that representatives of the Abu Dhabi-based investment group had flown to the island for talks with the club - who are up for sale.
At the moment the club has three offers, two of which are from England in the shape of Paul Davidson - favourite to take charge - and former Newcastle chairman Freddy Shepherd.
Dietrich Mateschitz, the Austrian businessman who already owns Red Bull Salzburg, Red Bull New York and the Formula One racing teams Red Bull and Toro Rosso, is also a candidate to buy the club.
A decision on the bids is being made by a local judge on Mallorca, although a decision may be delayed if the Abu Dhabi United Group decide to mount a bid.
Owning 2 clubs is just bloody stupid, especially when the owners are as rich as them.
I'd be interested to see if they say that they will make Mallorca the biggest and best team in the world, my god the that would shut the City fans up
I would'nt want to be in their shoes when they have to face the fans that are playing 2nd fiddle to the other team ownd by ADUG
